+Well, my goodness. This is worse than I would have thought,+
Mo said, sighing as he trudged through the muck that went at least halfway up his legs. "Tell me about it... Well, maybe Dong will like it," Ironhide said, taking Dong's ball and tossing it in the air as Dong was released. +Woah. It's like a huge swamp!+ the Spheal squealed in delight as it began splashing in the puddles of water. Well, if he couldn't have snow, water was the next best thing! "Glad you approve of it, Dong," Ironhide said. +Hmm... you know, I could just teleport us to the end of these... Marshlands,+ Mo suggested, nearly falling into a pile of mud after his foot got stuck in some, literally, sucky mud. "I know that you don't like it too well, but that would defeat the purpose of even going through here," Ironhide said. +If only it wasn't as mucky, I would be fine. There's just too much mud,+ Mo said, truding on after Ironhide and Dong.

~Grim grim grim grim, griiiiiimer!~ an agitated squeal echoed through the piles of mud. An angry slashing sound, before a moan of agony. It sounded like a Pokemon was in trouble! Ironhide rushed to the scene.
A Grimer lay clutching an arm on the ground. A Yamna cackled over him, making him whimper even more and shrink back into the mud. Yamna gave a single 'ha', filled with so much threat and which sounded so fearful, Grimer gave a final yelp of fright and slushed away as fast as his slime would carry him. Yamna nodded in content, then turned as it spotted Ironhide.

At the sound of an agitated cry, Ironhide followed the noise. Ironhide couldn't help but feel sorry for whatever Pokemon made that noise, even if it was the most disgusting Pokemon ever.
Mo, following slowly behind, not on purpose, finally caught up just in time to see the Grimer flee from the Yanma. It hadn't heard what it had did earlier, but obviously the Yanma was a bully. +Hey, why don't you pick on someone your own size, huh?+
Mo said as he glared at the Yanma, shaking his hand with the sthingy in it. Unexpectedly, Ea let herself out of her Pokeball upon hearing Mo not very happy from inside her Pokeball. She looked sleepily from Mo to the Yanma, then to Ironhide, and back to the Yanma, and put two and two together. Mo, for some reason, was angry at the Yanma.

Yamna snorted. ~What, like you?~ it sneered at Mo, eying him with a disapproving glare. He buzzed slowly closer, a menacing false smile upon it's face. ~We've all got our problems. Strange thing have been... Mellisa...~ for a moment it softened, and although it was well hidden, a tear plopped into the mud underneath it.
Shaking off the sadness, Yamna glared at Mo again, as if furious for making it think of this 'Mellisa'. ~You... think you're so tough. I'll show them!~ it howled, and suddenly there were two howling Yamna, then four, then eight, sixteen, and finally thirty-two copies of the original Yamna fixing their peircing gazes at Ea and Mo.

+If you would dare to challenge me, then by all means, be my guest,+
Mo said, his eyes narrowing at the Yanma. It definitely was apparent that Mo showed no love for the Yanma, even when he saw the tear drop after the mention of 'Mellisa'. +Think I'm tough? Hah! How do you think I got to be a Kadabra? I had to work hard to get here, thank you very much,+ Mo replied. He watched as the Yanma split into many different copies, knowing it was a Double Team. +Is that all you got?+ Mo asked as he chuckled. He was surprised at how confident he felt... it was unlike him to act like this. Perhaps it came with his evolving, he thought. Closing his eyes, he raised both hands, a sthingy in one hand and the other open, concentrating on which image was the real Yanma. He didn't have to be told what to do, he knew what to do. Ea looked fearfully from Mo to the many copies of Yanma. Just because she had come out of her Pokeball, she had been dragged into this. Ea, upon seeing what Mo was doing, looked up at Ironhide. "Well, looks like you two have made a nice friend... Mo more so," Ironhide said, sighing. +Does that mean I have to battle, too?+ Ea asked. "If the Yanma attacks you, then yes. Help Mo out," Ironhide said, nodding. Ea nodded, as she got her flame blazing from her back, ready for any fire attack.

Since Mo was nine levels higher than Ironhide's next strongest Pokemon, Ea, it might be a good idea to even out the gaps, not that you had much choice. Yamna seemed to decide the rules for this battle; almost as if it were a Persian playing with it's Rattata before it was eaten. It seemed to hesitate a little, however, at the sight of the Cyndaquil's intimidating blaze, but chose to keep going.
Yamna grunted at Mo, then, seeing Ea was weaker, thought to battle her instead. Ah, the weak. So much more fun than the strong who might actually stand a chance of beating it. Yamna's doubles moved off the Kadabra and instead circled Ea, growing closer and closer. Finally, they all darted foward in unison; Quick Attack.

Mo, sensing that the Yanma would not battle him, stopped his concentrating and looked over at Ea, since she was the only other one out. +Concentrate, Ea. If you believe, you will succeed,+
Mo said, backing away from the action next to Ironhide. Ea nodded, ready for any attack to come from the Yanma. What moves did a Yanma know, anyways? Ea wondered. Double Team for one, she figured. That move was obvious... Ironhide, remembering the package that Penny had given her in Parchville, quickly took it out of her back and unwrapped it as Yanma switched targets. She stared at the strange item, then remembered... it was an Exp. Share! She quickly called over Dong, who had been watching the Yanma and Cyndaquil with interest. Dong half hopped, half wobbled over. "Here, hold this while Ea battles. It will help you get stronger," she said, handing it to Dong. Dong held it in his small flippers, looking at it curiously. Make him stronger? But, wasn't he already strong? Sighing, he held the awkward object in his flippers as the battle commenced. "Ea, spin and use Ember on every one of them!" Ironhide said as the Yanma was closing in. Before Ea could comply, the Yanma used Quick Attack, making Ea more panic-stricken. Her back ablaze, she let a strong Ember out as she spun around as fast as her little legs would carry her, hoping she would hit the Yanma before it hit her.

The Yamna all froze as the Ember shot past, causing one of them to flicker and disappear. Ea, annoyed, fired again, with similar results. Each of the Yamna blew a loud, rude raspberry, before the Cyndaquil gave a furious cry and fired rapid spouts of flame, wiping the smile from Yamna's face as more copies disappeared. Then the opposite happened- the other Yamna disappeared while the one that had been hit stayed, screeching in pain.
~You'll pay for that!~ barked the dragonfly, it's wings a blur as it moved back, before flinging itself forward; Tackle.

"Ea, meet it with your own Tackle!" Ironhide shouted. Ea nodded, and charged right at the Yanma with her own Tackle. They collided, and Ea stood her ground firmly as her head temporarily stung from hitting so hard. Ea felt adrenaline rushing into her from the excitement of her first battle; and, on top of that, against a bully.
Dong watched with rising interest at the battle between the Cyndaquil and Yanma. Being so young, he didn't completely understand why they were so angry at the Yanma for attacking the Grimer, but he was learning as he went. The Yanma had been... mean, attacking the Grimer, and for laughing at it as it ran away. Not good behavior, Dong noticed as he put that note into his permanent memory.

Yamna growled as they met head to head, each pushing harder in attempt to push the other over, to outmatch them, but neither succeeded, and it turned into a fight of endurance. The two Pokemon winced and pulled away at exactly the same time. Yamna met Ea's eyes, trying to intimidate her with a stare. Fortunately, Yamna did not presently know Glare, and so the only effect it might have had might have been to give the Cyndaquil a little more motivation. Breaking contact, Yamna now charged foward as before, but with a different speed; Quick Attack.

Ea didn't so much as blink an eye at the Yanma's attempt at a intimidating stare. Right now, she felt like she could take on anything. The only thing that she knew was the Yanma, Ironhide, and herself. Everything else was blotted out, as if it didn't even exist. Ea watched the Yanma prepare for another attack, and waited for her orders from her trainer. "Ea, use your own Quick Attack!" she heard Ironhide say. As soon as she had said 'Quick', Ea had begun using it. At the same speed, if not faster, she ran to meet the Yanma with her own Quick Attack.

Yamna gave a growl of satisfaction as he felt the pain. ~That's it... lovely pain. Wipe away the other pain.~ he muttered as Ea pulled away. He was getting ready to repeat his attack, when another cry of dispair filled the air. ~Azuril, Azu!~ cried a small group of little Azuril, an older Azumaril looking after them- presumably their mother.
The Azuril clustered around Ironhide and Yamna. Tears were in their eyes. ~We was pwaying in the mwud when owur fwiend dissappeared!~ once shrieked. ~Wike it was never there! It was so scawy!~ his twin finished, and the Azumaril shuddered, patting their backs and looking at Ironhide for help with the three babies.

Ironhide, Mo, and Dong turned to the Azuril and Azumaril, curious. Ea, however, remained focused on the Yanma. There was something definitely not right about that Yanma... 'Wipe away the other pain' didn't sound normal at all. She stared at the Yanma for a few more seconds before turning her head to the two Azuril and Azumaril, letting her flame disappear.
Ironhide felt awkward with the baby Azuril and even the Azumaril near her, asking for her help. Playing in the mud, and their friend disappeared? Well... depending on what kind of Pokemon it was, it could be normal, but by the way the Azumaril was acting, it wasn't. "Who is your friend? Show me where your friend disappeared," she said. Dong tossed the EXP. Share aside as he followed Ironhide, sensing the battle was over for the moment. Mo retrieved it, wiping off the gunk that had gotten on it, and placed it in Ironhide's backpack before they moved on out. Though he didn't like this route a whole lot, when someone needed help, he'd be there.

The third Azuril shook it's head, tail bouncing furiously. ~We nwo tell wou were to go!We nw-~ it began, then it's mother clapped a paw over it's mouth. ~She's going to help us, Az! Sorry. Please, this way.~ Azumaril apologised, leading the way to a place like any other, except from the paw prints in the mud which disappeared and the speck of glittering black and red light. A distant murmer sounded through the area.

Ironhide followed the Azumaril, glancing down at Ea and back at Mo, who had placed the EXP. Share that Dong had ditched back in her pack. "Thanks, Mo," she muttered. +That could come in handy. You don't want to just abandon it for someone else to enjoy if you can enjoy it,+
Mo commented, following close behind. Dong bounced along behind, not really aware of the situation at hand. To him, they were just following the three Azuril and Azumaril to play somewhere. The Yanma had been forgotten, and everything was perfectly fine. The young Spheal stopped as it heard an echo throughout the area. It wiggled its small, round ears a little, picking up the echo again. It decided not to say anything, and hurried to catch up to the others. However, Mo noticed it, too, and so did Ironhide. +What was that?+ Mo asked, to no one in particular. "No idea..." Ironhide said, looking around, seeing if there would be a source anywhere. She wondered if it was just her and Mo that had heard it, or if Ea and the other Pokemon had heard it too. It seemed as though Ea had noticed, too, because she was looking around curiously.
