[Hospital Recover]

It had been about three months since Kairi, had been attacked and betrayed by her best friend and put into the hospital. She had been in a coma for awhile now. The doctors didn't know what to do for Kairi. Her mother had repeatly been up to see her. Sparky, Happy, Sasha, Mittens, Rose and even Scar stayed with her the whole time. What had happened those months ago, had made Scar respect Kairi more. He had saw that not all, humans were mean like that. He had seen how Kairi tried so hard to protect him and the others. Right afterwards the police had showed up and took Kairi's friend to jail. Scar was a little upset with himself. If he had cared more...if he had just been stronger this wouldn't of happened, to Kairi. Sparky came up patting, Scar on his shoulder, trying to make him feel better,<Hey, it wasn't your fault, Scar. No one could of prevented, Kairi from getting hurt.> Scar sighed,<Yea, I guess your right, Sparky. Still, I wish she'd wake up.> Sparky sighed,<Same here, pal.> Just then Kairi's mother came into the room,"Are you guys, hungry?" She asked passing out Pokemon food, to Kairi's Pokemon. They ate up the food, right away. Mittens and Sasha curled up on the bed at Kairi's feet. The two had been spending a lot of time with each other and had fallen in love. Kairi's mother set by her bed,"Please, wake up dear," she cried. A few tears fell down her cheeks. She always cried when she came in here at seeing the shape her daughter was in. Kairi had made so many plans when she first started her journey, collecting badges, and ribbons and hopefully find her missing father. Now was all her hard work going to be for nothing? Kairi's mother stayed there for a long time and then left. Later that night when a doctor came to check up on Kairi, Scar was sleeping next to her and her other Pokemon were at the foot of the bed. Just then her life support suddenly started beeping like crazy. Scar jumped at the noise, being the closest to the machine. "Oh my god! It's a miracle! She's coming out of the coma," the doctor said, surprised. He took, Kairi's oxergy mask off, just as the girl moaned painfully. Kairi opened her eyes and looked around, wondering where she was at. She looked at the blue wall in the room, then at the lamp next to the bed she's laying in. There was one window next to the bed. And at the back corner was a small bathroom. She noticed she was wearing a white hospital grown. Kairi coughed and choked painfully as she simply, mumbled,"Where am I?" To the doctor. (OOC: This is the area I left off at before I left, last time.)

ooc// I think I'm being a bit of a perfectionist here, but a comma makes a pause, and you put a lot of them where they weren't needed. Also, I'm basing any medically stuff off what I've seen happen with animals at the vet practice I volunteer at, so I'll do my best but it might not be completely accurate.

ic// A nurse adjusted the oxygen levels and replaced the mask; just because Kairi was waking up didn't mean she wouldn't need life support. The doctor frowned at the frantic bleeping. If her heart rate was like that, it couldn't be too good. She took a few deep breaths, starting to carefully adjust everything until it regained normallity. The nurse went through a check just to be safe, reasuring herself that the oxygen, heart rate moniter, breathing moniter, drip and the other machines keeping things like fluid levels and all that even were in working order. She quickly scribbled down a load of readings, while the doctor took care of Kairi.

The doctor pushed Kairi genty back down to lie on the bed, surprised that she had managed speech so soon after waking up. "You're in hospital, and you've been in a coma for around three months. My name is Dr Farrell. It's very important that you don't try to move around too much, since while you may think you've woken up and everything's fine, you should be very weak and unable to stand up for another week at least. The shot hit you in your right arm, so you're very lucky. It'll have to be bandaged for quite some time, and you may even have some permenant damage. For now though you should try to relax, stay in bed and keep your strength up. If you feel like sleeping all day that's normal, it doesn't mean you're going back into a coma, it means your body is wanting to focus all of its energy on healing. Your Pokémon have been very good and loyal; even Scar, who at first we didn't like being with you because of his behavoir." she nodded.

Kairi sighed,"Scar? He was worried about me?" This surprised Kairi a lot. Normally Scar hated her and only did what he wanted. Kairi guessed what she did made him respect her more as a trainer. She pulled the small Skorupi, into her arms hugging him. Scar nuzzled in Kairi's arms, being very careful not to cut her with his sharp pointers. He then let Sparky see Kairi who being her starter Pokemon and all since he had been only a small Pichu, was probably worried about her a lot.

Then all her Pokemon cuddled her, glad to see Kairi up and around. She was a little upset too, remembering now what happened,"Nox...he..he betrayed me. He mentioned that he was working for Team Vex and had to get me out of the way cause I knew too much," she started crying. Kairi had really liked him too. She had been hoping he could be her boyfriend. But now it was gone. Scar cuddled back in her lap trying to help her feel better.

OOC: Sorry that I mentioned Nox's name on here. I know he doesn't exsite anymore on this RPG, but I had to mention a name. And he did exsite for my character.

ooc// Nah, it's fine. He existed, he's just not a charrie any more ^_^ Also, if you want to skip ahead in time so Kairi is well enough to leave hospital, go ahead.

ic// The nurse nodded. "That's right, Scar was worried about you after a while. He saw how scared the other Pokémon were and really began to feel afraid for you. I suppose situations like this really brings out the best in people and makes them closer." she explained. She'd seen things like this before. It was a bit extreme, of course, but serious injuries and illnesses could heal broken couples and erase sibling rivalries. This was the bright side of these sad events. It didn't always end up like that; sometimes people were blamed, they argued, or the patient didn't pull through. She'd seen that an unfortunate number of times, but Kairi was lucky.

Dr Farrell put a hand on Kairi's shoulder comfortingly. "It's all right. If he did this, he can't really have been your friend. Life goes on, luckily for you. Don't let this make you a worse, use it to make you stronger and know that you are a brave, strong and good person while he has crossed the line into the darker path. He is weak for that. Stay strong. If there's anything you want to talk about, you can talk to me or someone else; that red button next to you calls me in here. If there's an emergancy, press it twice. When you feel ready it'd be useful for the police to get a description of Nox." the doctor told the girl.

"Yes, thank you," Kairi sighed. She leaned back on the bed to rest. About a week later she gathered up her Pokemon and put everyone expect Scar and Sparky into there Pokeballs,"Are you ready to go?" She asked them. Scar and Sparky nodded. Kairi packed her trainer stuff into her bag. Strange the doctors had saved all her stuff. It was left in her backpack that had been setting next to her bed all these months.

Kairi also had a new look to her now. She didn't want to risk going around in her old clothes since Team Vex knew what she looked like now. It was too dangerous. So she threw out her old outfit and pulled out a short black dress and black boots. She then slipped on some white colored gloves.

She picked up Scar and Sparky got on her shoulder as she left the room. She signed herself out of the hospital and left. She then went to a hair salon and got a perm. She got her hair cut to mid length and got it curled. She even got her bangs curled. She then brought a nice sun dress for the Contests. She then left for Route Three. She'd have to put her Pokemon though some serious training to be ready for the first gym and contest.
