The Linoone chuckled at what the Eevee had said. It was fun seeing the young Eevee get worked up like this. Perhaps he was just trying to show off, and wasn't doing a very good job of it? Well, he would show the Eevee what a real battle was like. As soon as Linoone heard the command 'Swift' he reacted quickly. To minimize the damage done, Linoone used a Tail Whip to ward off most of the flying stars instead of attempting to dodge. < Oof! That was stronger than I had expected from you. > the Linoone said, shaking himself a bit. < But, now it's my turn! > he exclaimed, running at the Buizel. When he was close enough, he extended his two front paws at the Buizel and stood on hind legs, claws slightly extending in a Fury Swipes attack.

< Oh! That was... was... unfair! > the Eevee protested as he realized he'd missed with his first attack. He barely had time to turn around before he saw Minati coming back down with a Wing Attack. < Heh. You better be able to do better than that! > he growled, as he disappeared momentarily and re-appeared behind Minati in mid-flight; a Quick Attack.

(( Sorry for crappiness :c Haven't done a battle in a while, and, well... my battle rp posts sucked to begin with :/ Now is even worse x.x ))

Mizu watched as Linoone came in for a Fury Swipes attack. ~Ow.~[/color] he winced as the first hit. ~Ow. Ow. Ow.~[/color] he groaned, as the racoon's clawed sliced across three more times. Yowch, painful. Minati, meanwhile, wasn't expecting to be attacked while attacking. He was hit by the Quick Attack, stopping his advance. Phew, that Eevee had some energy in him!

Sulteron could see that her opponents were strong, that much was obvious. Very obvious, in fact. The main thing she had to worry about now was retaliating to those attacks. Well, Linoone's Fury Swipes had got the Normal type nice and close to Mizu, which she could use to her advantage. Plus, Eevee was in the air. The Espeon 'morph was fairly sure that gravity existed and Eevee could not fly. "Mizu, Headbutt! Minati, a Wing Attack from close range!" she called.

Mizu smiled, pleased that something had come out of Linoone's Fury Swipes besides considerable pain. The Buizel aimed a Headbutt, hoping that the close range would make it harder to dodge. Minati was glad Eevee had put himself in the air. That meant he had the advantage. He aimed a simple Wing Attack-style hit at Eevee, aiming to shoot the little fellow back down to earth.[/size]

The Linoone, not expecting such a fast reaction, was caught completely off-guard as the Buizel struck it with a Headbutt. The Linoone was sent careening backwards and came to a rolling stop. < That was... unexpected. > it commented, standing up on its hind legs as it brushed itself off, though obviously considerably weakened. He glanced over at the Eevee to see how he was doing; just about the same or worse as the Linoone. The Linoone was about to attack again when something unexpected interfered...

< Owwww! > the Eevee exclaimed as he was hit by Minati's Wing Attack and sent flying back down to earth- it would've done more damage had he collided with the actual ground, but he landed on something soft instead. < Would you watch where you're going?! > an angry voice sounded below the Eevee. Curiously, the Eevee peered woozily down underneath him to see the Linoone. < Oh, hey. Didn't see you there. Thanks for cushioning my fall. > the Eevee said, shaking his head an hopping off. Before he could do anything, he felt a large thump on his head and was sent sprawling forwards. < Oww! Hey- what was that for?! > the Eevee exclaimed, glaring up at the Linoone with one eye. < For getting in my way! > it said. < Well, nobody said you had to cushion my fall! > the Eevee growled back.

Oh, dear. Looks like the two are getting into another argument...

Minati and Mizu had both been prepared to take hits from the fox and racoon, and so were quite surprised to see them arguing instead. They exchanged glances, Mizu smiling slightly; he knew this was a pretty good thing. Sulteron raised an eyebrow. OK... the two Pokémon weren't exactly the best team in the world, that was certain. Perhaps that meant it would be best if only one of the two was caught then, to save arguements... anyway, she needed to finish the battle first. She decided to take advantage of this moment, and use it to sneak in surprise attacks. "Mizu, use Aqua Jet! Minati, Double Team!" she called.

The Buizel smiled, happy to aim an offensive attack at Linoone. He was tired, yes, but he still felt fairly confident in himself at this time in battle. The Water type weasel felt water flow down his body, and knew the Aqua Jet was ready. The Pokémon shot towards the arguing Linoone in the lightning-fast Water type attack. Meanwhile, Minati was focusing on copying his image over and over to form an adequete Double Team. His body shimmered, splitting in two. This then repeated, both the real bird and copies splitting until there were sixteen shiny Starravias hovering low over the ground, wings flapping in unison. It was impossible to tell which was fake and which was real.

< If ya didn't charge right into battle without thinking things through first, then it wouldn't have happened! > the Linoone said, bristling up. < Yeah! Well...! > the Eevee started, then fell silent, pondering on what the Linoone had said; it was partially true, but he didn't want to admit it. < Well, gee, sooooorry,> the Eevee finally said, sitting down and turning away. < Hmph. > the Linoone said, calming down a bit and swishing its tail. Finally, the Eevee had realized how stupid he was at least this once. It was a success! Now... about that battle that they were supposed to be doing...

< Now, then. Think things through a bit better bef- > the Linoone started, but was cut short at the sight of Mizu using Aqua Jet. < We were in the middle of talking! How rude! > the Linoone said, standing its ground as it reared up, getting a solid foothold, glowing claws slightly extending as Mizu made his way to the Linoone. The Linoone surprisingly let the Buizel make contact, knowing the consequences, however having a plan at the same time. While Mizu made contact, the Linoone latched on with its hind legs and wrapped its tail around Mizu's mid-section and used another Fury Swipes; much more tactical than before.

The Eevee felt a bit better knowing that the Linoone wasn't as angry with him, and he watched in slight fear as he saw the many shiny Starravia's hovering around him. He took his eyes off of them temporarily to watch what Linoone was doing, then had an idea; he didn't have the best moveset and couldn't do anything as spiffy as that, but... still. Eevee narrowed his eyes and lowered his head, keeping his eyes on the many Starravia. He'd have to do something about them if he were to even have a shot at winning. Eevee then began using a short and low Quick Attack on each one of the copies, hoping to make contact with the actual one eventually. He hoped it would work, but there was always the high possibility he'd get hit first before he hit Minati.

Mizu gave Linoone a grin as he complained about the timing of his move. ~Always gotta be alert, mate!~[/color] he said, lunging backwards again. Or, at least, he would have. Had Linoone's tail not held him in place, that was. His eyes widened and he sucked in a deep breath. Uh-oh. That couldn't be too good now, could it? Slash-slash. Slash-slash. Slash-slash. This time, the Fury Swipes hit three times rather than four, but it still hurt. Mizu rubbed a sore chest as he pulled himself free of the tail. Meanwhile, Eevee's Quick Attack made a Minati-copy fade into nothingness. Ah, he'd failed this time. His second Quick Attack faded another copy not too long after.

Sulteron knew that Minati wouldn't stay safe for long, and so the bird would have to attack as soon as possible before Eevee could hit the real one. Even she didn't know which was the true Starravia, so the tension was quite high for her as well. Then there was Mizu's fight with Linoone. That had been a pretty smart move the racoon had used, a good tactic with the wrapping his tail to hold his foe still. That was quite good, considering he was a wild Pokémon with no trainer to plan and use previously planned tactics... clearly, the Pokémon had some experience. "Mizu, Swift! Minati, Wing Attack!" she called, deciding on her Pokémon's strongest attacks.

Mizu was panting ever so slightly now- the battle had, after all, been going on for some time now, and the Buizel had taken a number of hits. This wasn't exactly ideal, but he could keep going, of course. The Water type slashed his twin tails, producing the stars of Swift quickly, and remaining close to Linoone from the Fury Swipes in hope of catching him out. Minati watched as Eevee wiped out another two copies before he started to swoop in on the fox, all eleven remaining copies doing the same. Of course, the Eevee wouldn't feel the damage from the copies' Wing Attacks, and so it would make it easy for him to tell where the real one was.[/size]

The Linoone was happy that the Buizel had been unsuccessful at escaping the attack, and got his hopes up too soon. Linoone let his guard down as soon as he landed, not expecting the Buizel to make another attack so quickly in his condition. The Swift was definitely unavoidable, and landed a critical hit on the Linoone. He fell backwards, and struggled to stay up. He used all of his energy just to face the Buizel before collapsing.

Mizu gains 3 levels! -- A chance to capture the fainted Linoone is at hand.

The Eevee wasn't all that pleased that he kept hitting copies of the bird instead of the actual thing. He paused as he watched Linoone go down, and before he could get another Quick Attack off, the remaining copies all flew at him with a Wing Attack; he panicked, and merely closed his eyes. Weakened from before, and knowing it would probably be pointless to try and continue, he gave in when he felt the actual Wing Attack hit him. Eevee came to a rolling stop, and although not fainted, he had lost the will to fight.

Minati won the battle! Gained 2 levels! A chance to catch Eevee is at hand.




((Gyaaahhhhhhhh >.< Sorrysorrysorrysorrysorry about not replying for a while D: I fail at this... sorta hard to fill in for another mod midway through a battle :/ Doesn't have the same feel as before... *sigh* ...&sorry for shortness. Wanted to reply before I went to bed. & will do the stats & levels tomorrow... Mizu I know gains 3, but I'd have to check the stats I had set out for Eevee.))

Sulteron punched the air as both battles ended in victory. Her first double battle, won! Both these Pokémon would make good additions to her team, and Fiela seemed rather attached to Eevee, at any rate. Understanding this, she threw two Pokéballs at the fainted Pokémon; one at Linoone, the other at Eevee. She watched with great anxiety as she wondered whether she would catch these Pokémon. She sure hoped so. Linoone had used an egg move earlier, and seemed to be tough, while Eevee had some personality, and definately had potential. If she could-

~Er, Sulteron? You might not want to miss this.~[/color] Fairo's shaken, stunned and facinated voice broke her from her thought bubble. She blinked in surprise, watching Mizu. He'd gained three levels... putting him at level 26. Oh, wow. He was... glowing? She recognised this from her other Pokémon's evolutions, but it was still exciting. The Buizel grew larger, stronger and faster, his face becoming longer and floation sack elongating. When the light faded, a Floatzel was standing before her. ~Awesome, I'm fully evolved!~[/color] he said, overjoyed. Sulteron grinned, joyful too.

Ooh, evolution!

Both of the Pokeballs shook in unison, and stopped wiggling at the exact moment the other did, then a small and almost inaudible ping could be heard from both, and a red flash went across the center button on each; Linoone and Eevee had been caught!
