Sulteron chuckled as she heard the Eevee argue with the Rattata. She secretly agreed with Rattata, but doubted it would get her any happy points from Eevee. She knelt down next to the fox and mouse, glancing around at the freed Pokémon, eyes lingering on Linoone before back to the arguing Pokémon. She couldn't deal with both at the same time. "Fiela?" she called, spying the Espeon staring at Eevee with a goofy happy expression. "FIELA!" she called.
~Hnu? What'sgoinon?~ she said, coming to her senses. Sulteron sighed. "I need you to sort out these two while I go see Linoone!" she said. The Espeon seemed only too happy to obey, sitting down and trying to look good.
Sulteron hurried over to Linoone. He was still alive, of course, but very weak. The most she could do would be to give him Potions, but that wouldn't be enough; she'd need to take him to a Pokémon Centre, most likely. That would be simple enough, luckily; the next town wasn't far off. Taking out a Potion, she sprayed it all on the ferret. Hopefully that would help.
Meanwhile, Fiela smiled at Eevee. He was a looker. She thought he'd really be great as a Leafeon or perhaps a Glaceon. She shook her head at their silly arguement. ~Don't worry, guys. Eevee can have his own opinion, but he oughta learn that he doesn't need to make others look bad to make me- I mean, others, like him.~ she said, blushing furiously.

Eevee seemed a little annoyed that Sulteron was dedicating one of her Pokémon (a strange freak, nonetheless) to 'sort out' their 'argument'. Honestly. Couldn't the girl tell this would ruin his ego? Flushing angrily as the wierd Espeon gave a short monologue on 'how he was entitled to his own opinion', he tried to block out her voice.
Ratatta grinned. < Don't take anything the dude-meister says seriously, yo. He's just a big softy at heart. > < H-hey! Am NOT! >
As the healing liquid trickled over Linoone's wounds (most noticeably the one where he'd been hurt by the taser, though there were a few other scratches from his battle with Mizu), his eyes flickered open again. He seemed to be feeling quite a lot better as the Potion sunk in. It didn't completely heal his hurt, of course - a Super Potion would have been much more appropriate for that sort of thing - but it was enough to get him back up on his feet.
< Whu... > He shook his head, appearing slightly dazed. < I'm not quite sure what happened. I was in a battle and all, and then... > His voice turned accusatory. < Did you use an electric move? I bet that's it. I definitely remember feeling a big shock, like, here. > He parted his fur with his nose, tutting as he saw the large singe. < That was unfair. Who grabbed me? >
Huhn. Maybe taking him to a Pokémon Center wouldn't be necessary after all.

Fiela grinned. Eevee was so cute. She wasn't listening to a word he was saying, of course, but she knew he was angry and such. She didn't really care. The Espeon was just glad to be near a male like him. She nodded to the Rattata. A softy, was he? That was a little funny. She wasn't sure which of these Pokémon were telling the truth, but she had gathered that Rattata didn't really like him, liked being annoying, and that Eevee was very proud. Perhaps she could use that to get him to calm down.
~You're not a softy, eh? Don't worry, I'm sure you've got a big heart anyway. After all, only the best Pokémon ever are kind and don't let others tease them. Eevee should do that, then he'd be even better. And... and if he wanted to be really good, he'd go along with a trainer so that one day, he could beat the Champion of Sinjoenn and be famous for being one of the strongest Pokémon in the world.~ she said hopefully. She wanted Eevee to be with her, and a good way for that would be for him to travel with them.
Sulteron, meanwhile, was still with Linoone. She was surprised that he had made such a good recovery from a simple Potion. Well, he had seemed a toughie anyway. She shook her head at his questions. "No Electric type moves, sorry. I didn't grab you, either." she said, then explained about everything that had just happened, from the vagabonds to the tasers and so on.

Eevee rolled his eyes, a hot blush gracing his cheeks. < Fff... you girls, you, and your, and... grr. Anyway, I'm already one of the strongest Pokémon in the world, really I am! The breeder, he said that - oh. Um... > Clearly he had strayed into the realms he was not supposed to mention. Clearing his throat, he tried to look non-comittal. < Anyway, I, er, I'd best be, you know, moving on. Things to do and all that. > He made to leave. The Ratatta gave a muted giggle. < Oh, he's so shy around girls. You don't know what he's normally like, but trust me, the dude's not normally this headstrong and brash. Well, a bit, but the Suicune can't change his spots, right? He is a softy, really. We're best buds, and after a while you learn these little personality quirks of his. > He began cleaning his whiskers. < If you wanted to chat to him, don't worry, he won't have left. All talk and not much do when he's around the dudettes, if you know what I mean. > The rodent winked slyly.
Linoone's expression turned to confusion. < In that case, what... what happened? I don't really remember... > As he looked around, at the cages and such, a couple of pieces of the mental jigsaw slid into place. < Huhn, > he muttered to himself, < So this is where they've been hiding. Cowards. I shoulda guessed. > Seemingly tired, he sat himself down again, forgoing trying to appear tough. < So, you're not one of them after all? I was so sure. Just goes to show you can't judge. Where'd they go? I want to get my licks in, too. >

Fiela was curious to hear about this breeder person. What breeder? She frowned, unsure of what to say. She doubted that Eevee actually had anything to do, and nodded at Rattata. She could believe that. Why would he suddenly take on a more obnoxious attitude around girls, though? Meh, probably had little experience or something. She was all right with that. She would get this fox to talk. She would not give up so quickly, not while she was- sort of in love. Sort of. She liked Eevee, and didn't want him to just leave so quickly.
Scanning the area, she couldn't see where Eevee was. Hiding, perhaps? ~Eevee, where'd you go?~ she asked. She really hoped Rattata was right, and he hadn't gone. She planned out something to say. Not about anything he'd shy away from, she supposed. Perhaps a question which had been pressing her for an answer all the same. ~Eevee, how did those vagabonds get you here? Why?~ she asked curiously.
Sulteron listened to Linoone. He couldn't remember what had happened, yet he still recognised the vagabonds. They must be enemies, by the way he spoke about them. She was a little surprised that he'd thought she was one of them, but didn't mention that. He wanted to know where they'd gone, so she'd tell him. "They ran off into the woods, but the leader's still over there-" she informed him, pointing at the mass of strings and bugs.

An ear leant into the doorway, as if listening to what Fiela was saying, before quickly darting back out of sight. There was your Eevee, then. Trotting up to the cat's side, Ratatta flicked his ears. < I can answer your question, since he's too shy to. Lemme see... well, basically there was this group of poachers, yeah? We think that's what they were. Real mean dudes. Anyway, they started kidnapping us from the forest. Beats me why, maybe they wanted to sell them or something. At first we thought they were only after the rare species, like my buddy over there, but after a while it was easy to tell they weren't picky. A couple of the stronger Pokémon banded together, you know, in a sort of resistance force, but it didn't work so well. The last of those was Linoone over there; the rest are chasing after the poachers what run away. I tell you, if cat lady hadn't shown up they'd have stolen every last bleedin' one of us! > He gave a toothy grin, showing off his large incisors. < We owe you our thanks. And don't let dude-meister bother you, okay? He's just unfamiliar with strangers, and even more so with girls. I guess he thinks it impresses them or something. >
Linoone cast his eyes around the room. His vision was still blurred, but no way could he have missed the large bundle of string in the center of the room. His eyes twinkled mischeviously. < Aha. Ahahahahah. Alright then, guess - oof. Okay, maybe not. > He'd risen to his feet and began grinding his hind paw against the ground like a Tauros, before stumbling and falling over. Muttering to himself, he trotted over and poked the pile with his nose. There was a muffled sound from within. < Actually, I think I might pass. > He began stratching his neck, wincing slightly. < Ahoooohah. Er-hem. Anyways, what will you be doing? Without their boss, I doubt those cowardly cowards will be back for a while. You're just a trainer, right? You'll be moving on soon, I shouldn't wonder. >

Sulteron nodded to Linoone. "Yeah, you're right. I'll be moving on to Beeville, for my second gym badge. In fact, I guess it might be a good idea to leave now... see you, Linoone. I'll go see if my Pokémon are ready to move on, then." she told him, grinning as she moved to her Pokémon. They agreed to moving on to the town instantly; how could anyone resist a gym battle? Well, all except-
"Fiela, come on!"
The Espeon shook her head. ~No.~ she said firmly, expressiona strange cat-pout. She blushed. ~I don't want to leave Eevee. I don't think I'll ever see him again.~ she complained in a practical tone.
Sulteron sighed. "He's just an Eevee, Fiela. You'll meet more, probably. Now, come on!" she urged. Her other Pokémon were growing impatient.
Fiela's eyes narrowed. ~He's not just an Eevee... he's a very attractive Eevee. Making me leave now would be like making you leave that kid Arley forever after you'd just met.~ she pointed out. Sulteron winced. That wouldn't be a very nice thing to happen. "All right, I suppose. But what are you going to do? I mean, this is his home. You're a traveller." she said, trying to think of a way this might work out. Fiela was doing the same thing. She supposed she could always ask if he wanted to come along with them, even without a Pokéball... no, he would never accept that. Would he?

If Linoone was a little surprised at the trainer's sudden decision to leave, he didn't show it. < Beeville, huhn? Good luck with your battle. You know, it's just a shame I never got to finish mine with Mizu. There you go. > He stretched expansively. <Things happen, I guess. Say, what's your Espeon doing over there? > Ratatta stood on his hind legs. < Uh, she seems to have a problem with Eevee-meister, dude. Dunno, I couldn't say. > Linoone sighed. < That troublemaker's come here again? Tell her she's wasting her time. > < H-hey, I am not a troublemaker! >
Leaping into the doorway, Eevee glowered at Linoone. < Well, if I'm a trouble-maker, you're a... a.. a jerk! A big, smelly jerk! >

Sulteron could see a fight developing here. Uh-oh. She didn't exactly want a fight to break out, not now. It seemed like Linoone had a problem with the Eevee. The one Fiela found attractive. Hm, well, at least it seemed that some of the other Pokémon wouldn't find it too much of a loss if the Espeon were to win her fight to get him to travel with them. Anyway, right now she had a fight to prevent!
Fiela beat Sulteron to it, standing between Eevee and Linoone, frowning. ~Stop it, stop it!~ she wailed, glaring at Linoone. ~Don't you dare hurt Eevee. If you do, I'll... I'll... er, well, the point is, if you hurt him, you'll regret it for the rest of your life, I promise!~ she growled, waving her wings to make herself look larger than she already was. No-one would ever harm her Eevee! Not that she could help it. Whether or not he was thankful for it, she would protect him. He was too cute to be harmed. Fiela stood there, waiting to see the two Pokémon's reaction. Maybe this would help Eevee to see how much she really cared?

Linoone laughed. < Hurt him? Please. You haven't got much experience around guys, have you? > He was going to say more, but a tan blur shot past Fiela, ignoring her entirely, and barreled towards Linoone. < Rarghargleargleargle! Take that, you jerk! > Swiping forwards with his claws, Eevee snarled as he moved to attack. Sighing, Linoone simply held out a paw, detaining the fox at arm's length. Eevee's front limbs flailed wildly, trying to get past Linoone's toes. < You're really taken with him, ain'tcha? > Raising an eyebrow, Linoone was oblivious to Eevee's grunts of exertion. < I'll tell you again, you're wasting your time. >
Swiftly taking his paw away, Eevee stumbled forwards, and was just regaining his balance when Linoone grabbed him by the scruff of his neck and raised him to eye height, before in his best patronising voice saying < Now, Eevee, what have I told you about randomly attacking people? > < Jerk! > Eevee wailed. < You horrible brown horrible no-friends antisocial bully! Put me down so I can fight you like a man! > < We've been through this before, Eevee. > said Linoone. < Now, why don't you calm down and apologise before you embarass yourself even further in front of his nice lady and her espeon? > < Why should I care? > Eevee muttered petulantly, pouting. < They're both freaks, anyway. Probably'll never see them again. > < Now, Eevee, that's not nice. > Linoone began to swing Eevee back and forth by his neck ruff. < You have to apologise to them as well. > < Shan't. > Eevee said sulkily, beginning to feel slightly queasy. Linoone started swinging harder. < What was that? > < I won't, I won't, I won't! >
Ratatta sighed, glancing apologetically at Sulteron. < I'm sorry. Eevee-meister tends to just chafe with everyone. You kinda just need to get to know him. But you can call your Espeon off. There's no chance of any dudes getting hurt, really. This happens all the time. >

Fiela looked alarmed to see Eevee launch himself at Linoone for no apparent reason. He had a few anger issues. That didn't stop him being cute, though. The Espeon watched warily as the two talked, Linoone sounding much calmer. At the mention of her and Sulteron, she frowned, narrowing her eyes and making a little 'huh' noise. That wasn't very nice from the stubborn fox, now, was it?
Mizu, however, gave a light-hearted chuckle. This was all pretty funny, in his opinion. ~Lighten up, Fiela. He's all worked up right now. He doesn't mean it.~ he said, smiling. Fiela's expression remained unchanged. The Buizel then decided to add something onto the end. He sort of wanted to annoy the little puffball; he wanted to see how such an uncontrollable thing would fare in a battle with him. Maybe Sulteron would even catch him, although he seemed too antisocial to be friendly towards any of her Pokémon or herself. He'd be especially mean towards Fiela, from what he'd seen. ~Besides, we all know that any one of us could beat the little fluff senseless if he tries anything. I bet I could do it with one paw behind my back.~ the Buizel grinned, itching for a battle with Eevee.

Eevee huffed. < Yeah, yeah, hot stuff, we all bet you could. > He wriggled around, trying to get free, although Linoone simply started swinging him in circles instead. The ferret had lost much of his interest, though, and his eyes strayed back to Mizu. < You know, if you're in such a feisty mood, why don't you and I finish our little scrap together? I feel at a bit of a loose end. After all, a battle with a little fluff is no fun at all, am I right? > His cyan eyes twinkled mischeviously. < Hey! > Slighted, Eevee squirmed harder. Rolling his eyes, Linoone dropped him to the floor, where he gave a drawn-out hiss. < What's your problem, anyway? It's like you're deliberately trying to stir up trouble for me. Do you hate me or something? Well, I hate you too. In fact - > Linoone cuffed the fox round the head with his paw. < Shush, will you? Your constand moaning is giving me a headache. > Eevee stuck out his bottom lip. < Oh, well, excuuuuuuse me! I had no idea. > Sullenly sticking his tongue out, he sat firmly down. < Anyway, I'm not going anywhere until you say you're sorry. > < Me? Say I'm sorry? Please. > Linoone rolled his eyes. He seemed quite amiable, really, once you got to know him, and strong-willed about things he believed in. Eevee however seemed - though not like a bad sort - rather immature, and surly when he didn't get what he wanted. He also appeared to think rather highly of himself: whilst not in any means antisocial and mean, he definitely needed a strong authority to take him down a peg or two.

Mizu grinned, nodding. How could he refuse a fight with Linoone? Sulteron, meanwhile, was smiling. She could see the relationship between Eevee and Linoone, and wondered if they could actually be nice to each other. What if... what if they were to be comrades? Comrades in battle? That would be most interesting to watch. To see how they would work together, whether they would try to work together or fight, or perhaps one do one thing, the other do another.
How to witness this? The oppertunity had just presented it to her. Linoone wanted to finish the fight between him and Mizu. Well, what if they made it a double battle? Linoone and Eevee again Mizu and... say, perhaps Minati? Yes, that would be pretty fun. And so interesting! She imagined that it would expand her knowledge of Pokémon emotions and how they worked together, which would definately help her if she were to fight in double battles later on in her journey.
"Hey, Linoone, what if we made this a double battle? You and Eevee against Mizu and... Minati, you up for a fight?" the Espeon 'morph asked, tail swaying. The Starravia shugged, wing feathers rustling as he opened them to glide over to the Mizu's side. He nodded, in case the fact that he would fight hadn't already been sussed out.

Linoone's ears twitched, and he blinked confusedly. < You want me to team up with the puffball here? > Tilting his head, a grin spread over his face. < Sure, why not? It'll be nice to get some support - though to be fair, it'll be easier for you guys. I'm wounded, and he's a weakling. > < I... I- WHAT? I am not! I'll prove it to you! > Eevee snarled. < You just watch! I'll prove I'm stronger than you all!> A sly grin creased the edges of Linoone's jaw. This would be a good opportunity to dent that pride the fox had thrown up around himself. He'd needed to be taught some humility for a long time now. < Well, there's your answer! You'd better be ready, Mizu, Minati, 'cos this little guy's raring to go! > He laughed heartily. Eevee was not amused. < I'll make you eat those words! Raaar! > Not waiting for the battle to officially start, he dashed forwards towards Minati: a Tackle attack.

Sulteron smiled, pleased that Linoone and Eevee had agreed to fight. She supposed that it was true that Linoone was already weak, but so was Mizu. Well, Linoone more so than Mizu, but Linoone was clearly stronger than the Buizel. She watched as Eevee charged at Minati. Huh, he wasn't really very controlled, not thinking about what he was doing so much. That made things easier for her. "Right! Minati, fly into the air and use Wing Attack! Mizu, Swift!" she called to her Pokémon.
Minati didn't have room to get a running leap in, so his ascent into the air was a little wobbly. He felt the fur on the tips of Eevee's long ear brush past his feet on their was dashing past. He would have smiled for his beak, knowing that the little fox wouldn't take too kindly to his dodge. Without waiting to see any reaction, he dropped back down to earth, wings streched wide in the Wing Attack.
Mizu leapt into the air as well, spinning around as he used the Swift; he felt he looked just so much cooler that way. The Buizel watched as the shimmering array of sharp-edged golden stars moved towards Linoone, er, swiftly. He was satisfied with his attack, although wasn't entirely sure whether Linoone would be able to dodge it with the speed he'd seen earlier from the long ferret Pokémon.
