It was dawn, the glorious red orb of the sun rising gradually behind the lazy, fluffy clouds. A Riolu was yawning in the arms of his trainer as they walked into the first town they had entered since Evergreen. A Luxio stalked at their left, a Prinplup at their right, a Pidgey flying overhead. A girl was walking next to them, similarly laden with all sorts of Pokemon; Pichu, Skitty, Glameow, Budew, and Happiny. She had a Skorupi, but for their welbeing he was currently in his Pokeball.
Lux the Riolu suddenly sat upright, suddenly awake. Their was an excitement to his aura, but Nox did not quite know what it was. ~Nox... let me go.~[/color] he said quietly. Nox's eyes widened.
"You... y-you're abandoning me? What?!" he gasped. Lux laughed, but there was still that same, strange seriousness about him. ~No, I would never abondon you. Just... put me down. I don't know what's happening, but something is. Put. Me. Down.~[/color] Lux said, a little more forcefully. Nox obeyed. Now he payed attention, Sparky the Pichu was behaving in a similar manner. What had gotten into them? It seemed they didn't know, either. They two Pokemon came together and held hands, looking into their trainer's eyes. They took a deep breath...
... and began to glow. Sparky and Lux felt their bodies changing, twisting, into a new form. Sparky’s ears elongated, his tail grew extra kinks, and his whole boy grew taller, chubbier, and a slightly different colour. Lux felt another set of his aura-sensing raindrop shaped blobs grow, his ears pointen, his little hard bone part on his arms and chest grow into spikes as his body grew to become a few centimeters shorter than Nox, his fluffy ruff now covering his whole body. The entire process was tingly and exciting.
~Sparky... we've evolved!~[/color] he beamed, showing off new pointed teeth. He nashed them together a few times; the now elongated muzzle was new. Sparky looked like a real potentially amazing Pikachu now, a suitable partner for a potentially amazing Lucario, if he did say so himself.
Nox laughed out loud, placing a hand on Lux's shoulder. "I guess you've grown to like me, then. Just as Kairi's been good to Sparky, to the extent that he's evolved." he nodded, patting at the fur under his hand. It was Lux's turn to laugh, a deep rumbling sound, and he placed a paw over Nox's on the Lucario's shoulder. He was too big to sit in Nox's arms, but somehow he didn't want to any more... must be part of growing up. Nox took his hand away and looked at Kairi. "Do you want to go to Route Three, the Marshlands? Or would you like to stay and explore the city? I heard there might be stray Pokemon, and there's a girl who gives you items." he said, scanning the scene. No sign of Penny, the girl in question, or a stray Pokemon. Yet[/size]
Lux leans Detect, Metal Claw and Dark Pulse!
Sparky learns Growl!
(I made a rule that when a Pokemon evolves, it learns all the moves it missed on what it evolves into to avoid moves that can't actually be learned.)[/b]
