[/color] Zar asked doubtfully. "Of course not! Well, not right now, anyway. Maybe later, with Saren. But, for now, you will be with me. Together forever- like Luce and Estrel," Dexter replied, putting a hand on top of his hat before the wind could blow it off all the way. +Well... if I go with Saren, I suppose I'd be able to live... they can only take care of two Pokemon at a time, right? So, will you leave Umbra and Kitkun here next?+[/color] Zar asked. "Yeah, something like that. It will be good, though- you'll be able to take on tougher opponents, and it won't take as much time. You won't be with me for a time, of course, but it will be worth it in the end, I think," Dexter said. Zar reluctantly nodded- he hated being anywhere without Dexter, no matter how long or short it was, or for whatever reason.

A young-looking woman wearing all green was outside with a Sunkern, enjoying the rays while they lasted. She got up and greeted Dexter, the Sunkern bouncing along behind happily. "Welcome to our Daycare Center!" she said with enthusiasm. "Come on in," she said, motioning for Dexter to follow. The Sunkern bounced happily after her again, and Dexter followed, Zar right beside him.

Inside, it was like a little cottage. A few Pokemon were sleeping in various places, there was a small kitchen, and a back door that was wide open. There were some playful scuffling noises that could be heard from out back. The girl sat down at a table and motioned for Dexter to do the same. "I'm Vik, the lady of this daycare center. Nick's out back, probably with his Machop," she said. Vik then went on to explain the costs and such for however long they would be left here. Dexter nodded, understanding. "Alright, then. I'll be leaving my Chinchou and Staryu here for a week," he said. "Ah, very lovely Pokemon! Perhaps Nick's Buizel will make some new friends," Vik said with a smile. Dexter released both his Chinchou and Staryu. Estrel, as usual, was quiet, and Luce was spacing off, her eyes fixed on a pattern on the wood. "Estrel is the Staryu. He's a toughie, and he doesn't talk a lot. Luce is, well... she gets distracted extremely easily," he said. "No problem! We'll get through to Luce. We'll help her try not to be as distracted while you're gone," Vik said. "Thanks," Dexter said, turning to leave. "Oh! I'll go ahead and pay now," he said, fishing 1,400SH out of his pocket.

"Oh, he's back, Nick! Round up Luce for me, will ya?" Vik called to Nick, who was busy arm-wrestling his Machop. "Grr. This is not over, buddy. I want a rematch!" Nick said as the Machop caught him off-guard and proudly pushed his arm down on the table in defeat. Smiling in triumph, the Machop went off to go find the Buizel, leaving Nick alone for a while while he fetched Luce out from the pond out back.

As Dexter walked in, Zar at his side once again, Vik and Nick were ready for him, his two Pokemon's Pokeballs on the table, and the two Pokemon- Estrel and Luce- outside of their Pokeballs happily munching on some PokeChow.
"Welcome back, young man! I feel we've made some good progress on your Pokemon. Your Chinchou, especially. She doesn't get distracted as easily now, and has learned to focus a little easier," Vik said. "Thanks," Dexter said gladly, unclipping two more Pokeballs from his belt. "Got these two for you, now. They shouldn't be much of a problem, if at all," Dexter said, watching the Staryu somehow absorb the food through no visible hole he could see. How did he eat? Dexter wondered. That would always remain a mystery to him- how Poliwhirl/Poliwrath and Staryu/Starmie ate. "Well, let's see them, then," Nick said, depositing a bucket of PokeChow by the sink, beginning to fill some bowls with it. Dexter nodded, and released Umbra and Kitkun. "Umbra is the Eevee. Once she gets her mind set on something, you can't get her to change her mind. Kitkun, or Kit for short, is the Murkrow. He hates unfair treatment and bullies, and loves to have fun," Dexter said. "Two more delightful Pokemon! I envy you," Vik said with a smile. Dexter blushed some, and Zar giggled.

When Estrel and Luce were finished eating and were set to go, he returned them to their Pokeballs, clipping them back on his belt, and handed Umbra's and Kit's over. "I'll be back in a week- again," he said, handing another 1,400SH to Vik.

[/color] Zar said with a sigh. Vik watched with interest as Dexter said his goodbye to Zar for a week. "It will go by faster than you know- trust me!" Dexter said, hoping he sounded convincing enough. +Oh, it will go by fast, Zar! Besides- it's not like he's abandoning us! He's just getting us a bit tougher so that future battles will be easier and we won't have to wait as long to get stronger!+[/color] Saren said, hovering in circles around Dexter, showing no signs of getting tired. +Well, I'll look forward to seeing you again,+[/color] Zar said happily, hugging Dexter- Saren joining in unexpectedly- and then Dexter departed.

"Well, you two. Let's see what you got," Vik said eagerly- these two were definitely Dexter's favored Pokemon, and probably his strongest, or close to.
