Ironhide trudged down the route, Mo snuggled comfortably in her warm hoodie, as light snow fell. The time from which she had entered the lab to now the weather had changed quite a bit. It had been a blizzard minutes ago, and now it had died down, warming up considerably. Ironhide could only think of one explanation, but she didn't announce it.
Geth was a few meters ahead, bashing anything and everything in his path. His attitude was even worse than when Ironhide had first received Mo. +You're going to have fun with that one,+
Mo randomly said, wriggling a little bit as he got his arms out and just the lower half of his body was inside Ironhide's hoodie now. "Yes, Mo, I know... I wonder if I'll regret choosing him over the well-mannered one..." Ironhide mumbled. +Stupid trainers... Stupid lab... Stupid world...+ Geth mumbled to himself as he sent a rock flying out of sight just by giving it a small kick. Hmph. That Abra was so... uncool. He was small, weak... and he wasn't even shiny, yet his new 'trainer' adored him. They both spoke of attitude and manners; hah! He could do what he wanted whenever he wanted; that was his motto. Seeing a small boulder up ahead, Geth began charging full-speed at it. As soon as he hit it, it went shattering into a thousand tiny pieces, and he was left dazed for a few seconds. +Alright, time for a break...+ he said, as he lay down. Ironhide watched as Geth charged into the boulder, then simply just lay down. Sighing and shaking her head, she slowly made her way up to him. "Geth, come on. We need to go," she said. Geth just lay there, already sleeping and... drooling? +Disgusting! Maybe we should do something about that,+ Mo said, as he teleported out of Ironhide's hoodie and up to a branch where a few dead and hollow nuts were hanging loosely. +Hey, this oughtta wake him!+ Mo said as he began shaking the branch, sending a barrage of dead nuts down on top of Geth. Feeling like seconds later, as it literally was, a very rude awakening came upon Geth. Being barraged by nuts he soon realised he rolled out of the way, looking up above as he saw Mo chuckling at what he had done. +Alright, you asked for it!+ Geth said as he began leaping up to try and reach the branch. Each time he jumped he got closer and closer until he finally reached the branch, clinging with his mouth. He then pulled himself up and then ran at Mo, who at last second disappeared, leaving Geth to run into the trunk of the tree. The entire tree shook, and he was sent backwards. +Oh, you seem to have missed there,+ Mo said as he floated upside down on the branch above Geth. Ironhide watched in amusement as Geth chased Mo and Mo easelessly escaped each charge. It was quite humorous, but she knew it would get out of hand if she let it go on for too long. "Settle down, you two! I know you hate each other, but that doesn't mean you have to take it out right here right now," she called up to the two, but to no avail. Neither payed attention to what she was saying, so all she could do was watch as Mo got higher and higher in the tree, then went down a bit, then higher, then down. It was almost dizzying, with no specific pattern. Geth seemed to be getting a little bit tired jumping and clinging from branch to branch, and she smiled; perhaps now he would have a little more respect.

Little did Ironhide, Geth, and Mo know, they were being watched by a pair of disaproving eyes. Why couldn't these Pokemon work in harmony? It could see it was the Bagon's fault. Oboxious, self-centred, pessimistic, jerk. It saw no reason why shinies should be considered any greater than ordinary Pokemon. So what if their fur or scales were a different color? If it stepped in a bucket of brown paint, would it be any better than it's first, normal-colored self? No!
Some of the Pokemon he helped were shinies. They knew he was stronger, and respected him. Everyone was equal in this world. Noone, no matter their type, gender, species, size, or color, was any stronger than anyone else of the same level. Maybe this Bagon ought to learn some manners. And hey, it was a teacher. So the Pokemon in the tree leapt out in front of the scuffling Pokemon.
The Scyther spread his scythes wide in what he knew was an intimidating position. ~What are you two playing at? Bagon, I know this is your fault. You anger me! Everyone is equal! Noone of the same level are stronger or weaker! Just because you are a different color doesn't mean you are better. Saying that sort of thing actually makes you worse!~
Wild Scyther appeared!
And it doesn't seem to pleased either. What will Geth, Mo and Ironhide do?

+You wouldn't be so tough if you couldn't teleport,+
Geth grumbled as he lunged yet again, knowing he would miss Mo. As usual, a second before he reached him, Mo's form disappeared. +Still think you're better?+ Mo asked as he levitated behind Geth inverted. +Think I'm better? I could take you any day, you little--+ but he was cut off as the Scyther appeared. Geth stumbled backwards, nearly colliding with Mo who was equally startled. Geth trembled in fear of the Pokemon that was at least three times his size, but Mo just stood there in awe, never having seen a Scyther before. +You hear that, Geth? Even he says you aren't better!+ Mo said. Geth turned his head and pivoted his body to face Mo. +Alright, then. If I'm not that great then I shouldn't be able to fight him. You battle him, then,+ Geth said, as he ran to Ironhide and returned himself to his Pokeball. Mo watched as Geth fled in fear, and then turned to face the large Scyther. He got really nervous as he got up the courage to ask. +W-would it be possile to do a small battle with you? I really need some training...+ he said nervously, his voice trembling. Ironhide watched as Geth returned himself. She shook her head as she took it and forced him out again. "You sure can talk the talk, but can't walk the walk. How about you at least watch Mo. He has courage, at least,+ she said. Geth grunted in disapproval, but plopped himself down beside Ironhide and crossed his arms. That Scyther had something about it that frightened him... he usually wasn't so scared of larger Pokemon, but there was something about his... words he said, and the anger he showed.

Scyther grinned. ~Thanks, Abra. If you manage to defeat me, that proves you don't have to be shiny to battle well. I'm one of the strongest Pokemon in the forest.~ it said smugly. Abra only knew Teleport; it just had to hope this one knew a TM move or something.
It descided to start off with a nice easy attack; Quick Attack. Moving so fast it apppeared as a blur, the Scyther whipped around Mo, getting faster and faster. Its breathing was controlled as it took deep breaths to allow more oxygen to pump through its heart to its leg muscles. As more energy was gathered in its lower body, it got ready to spring. This was just to give Mo a taste of its power and it a taste of Mo's defense. As the power peaked, it released the tension in its legs and sprang, leaping toward Mo with sythes outstreched.

Mo had no idea what to say and even if he did, he would've been too scared to say it. All he could manage was a slight nod of his head. Mo knew he only knew two moves; Teleport and Barrier. Teleport in this case would be useful for getting the Scyther to run into a tree and weaken itself. Barrier, his other move, would be just as useful and have the same effect.
Mo didn't bother trying to keep his eyes on the Scyther; but rather kept his ears open and his mind focused on the movements. The Scyther was taking its time, getting enough energy to attack. Mo, use Barrier when he springs at you! he heard Ironhide tell him through telepathy. He didn't move, didn't say or think a word until he felt the Scyther begin to attack him. Rapidly turning around, he created a large, thick barrier between him and the Scyther, hoping to ward off this attack.

Scyther saw the Abra make his move, the large barrier glinting in between it and Mo, light that was strangely solid. As the world blurred past, it tried to stop, not to crash, but it was too late. As the Scyther skidded, feet no longer moving in attempt to stop, it slid staight into the glowing piece of swirling puple light with a heavin bang. It looked like it must hurt.
Growling in fustration, Scyther pivoted on the spot. It was now facing Mo again, its path clear by the look of the diming Barrier. All the same, it waited until the sheild was entirely gone before moving. It was determined to strike. Not even waiting to charge extra energy, it pushed off the ground, zipping toward Mo in another Quick Attack.

Mo was glad that his idea had worked; he hoped he could continue avoiding most of the attacks, or at least last long enough to weaken the Scyther so that Geth wouldn't act like a fool in front of the opponent.
Mo watched as the Barrier dimmed, and the Scyther was ready for his move again. Use Teleport; do so in front of a tree so that he might run into it, Ironhide said with her mind. Mo didn't reply, but he awknowledged her wishes with his next move. He let the Scyther hit him; a mistake he knew he would regret, and as he felt his small body weaken and fly through the air, he used Teleport finding a nice, large tree nearby. His whole body shuddered with the power of the attack by the Scyther, but he wasn't going to give up without a fight. He lay in await, acting as if he wasn't aware of his surroundings. It sure could've fooled Ironhide, if she didn't have an idea of what Mo did besides her wishes.

Scyther grinned, pleased its attack had hit so successfully. In its mind, it was 'going easy' on Mo, although the actual actions involved for that had slipped to the back of its mind at the start of the battle. When it felt its own body connect with that of the Abra, it felt in charge. Powerfull, strong. It liked that, ressolving to get a trainer if this one didn't manage to catch it.
It turned around, hoping to get anough blow in. Still moving at a fast, steady speed, it could see Mo was unaware of where he was. It rushed at the dazed and confused Abra, but the only thing dazed and confused here was it; the Abra was just acting. When it charged, Mo used Teleport, causing the Scyther to slam headfirst into the tree. It gritted it's teeth in annoyance. It had hit the Abra once, and that had been strong. If only it could hit it again, ruining the Psychic's tactic! It tried this with a Vacuum Wave.

Mo didn't like physical contact at all, whether he was doing it or when his opponent was doing it. Especially since he could simply use his psychic powers, if he ever got them. That made him want to win this duel all the more; not only to prove that he was just as good as Geth, but that he would be able to move things with his mind.
Mo had almost no time to react when the Scyther used the Vacuum Wave on it. He was caught in it before he could have time to react. Next thing he knew he could barely see and he was flying through the air. Just the impact of the attack itself had slightly weakened him. Mo used Teleport once again to prevent him from running into anything. He sat hovering a couple meters away from Scyther, hoping he would be able to last. This Scyther was quite... unpredictable.
Keep it up, Mo! I know you can do it! Ironhide cheered on from the sidelines. +Hmph. I suppose he isn't that bad at battling...+
Geth muttered as he stood up to watch the battle. He wasn't sure who he was rooting for; he wanted the Scyther to win, just so he could see Mo hurt and get his revenge on their never-ending disputes. A part also wanted Mo to win because, well... He felt sorry for the little Abra going against a Pokemon that was obviously stronger than he was. Good luck to both of you. May the best win... Geth thought. ((I don't understand how 'Vacuum Wave' exactly works xD So, uhh... Sorry for lack of knowledge and crappy response to the attack ))

ooc// I don't understand it too well, either. I would assume it's a wave of a vacuum- a pulse of no absolutely nothing. Or something like that.
ic// A sly smile played at Scyther's hard lips. Its green shell quivered with the effort it took to keep up the waves of damaging attack, but it was pleased with the result of its efforts. It seemed the Bagon had finally begun to recognise ordinary Pokemon as no different than shinies. It relaxed a little. It was always wonderful to defeat racism, be it among Pokemon or humans. Why it seemed only yesterday that the other Pokemon at school were laughing at it being an 'icky bug'. Well, that was one Spearow who wouldn't think twice before picking on someone with two giant scythes producing from it's elbows.
Presently the Scyther flexed said apendages, the scythes flicking up and then down. It seemed a waste not to finish this battle. There seemed to be a fifty-fifty chance of the outcome- either way, both Pokemon had fun and learned some valuable information about the fighting techniche of the other species and type. Without warning the muscular legs of the Scyther sprang into action with another Quick Attack, although this one was slow enough for any Pokemon to be able to react to the attack.

Mo had a small flashback, to a time when he had first been born. He remembered hatching from his egg very vaguely... he was alone, nobody to teach him anything. He had gotten control over his moves fairly quickly, and had avoided battles as much as possible. A certain battle, a week or so before he had been caught to be sold, played in his mind. It was not unlike this one before him... His opponent was a very large Houndour that had the personality of Geth. It wouldn't stop trying to bite him and the battle lasted much longer than a regular one would have lasted, so Mo tried something new...
Mo came back to reality just in time to see the Scyther get ready to attack him again. That combo he had used... Would it possibly work with this Scyther? And, had it just been luck that it had worked back then? Mo made a quick decision; he would try it again. Ignoring Ironhide's orders of simply using Teleport, he did his own thing.
Mo used Barrier again, and teleported as soon as he had it up, and then began creating another Barrier. He did it again and again, placing the Barriers in a pattern just like you would see in a funhouse with the maze of mirrors. Soon, he had Barriers all over that reflected him and the Scyther, the true location of either completely a mystery. Mo wasn't even sure, so he kept his mind sharp and blocked out Ironhide's thinking; this was all him now. He would finish this, he would.
Ironhide growled as she watched Mo deliberately disobey orders. +Heh. Well, obviously he knows something about this that you don't... He's smart, I'll give him that. Don't know how this is going to help him, but it has some meaning,+
Geth said as he lay on his side, resting his head on his paw. Ironhide's anger turned into wonerment as she watched his quick progress of making a mirror maze out of Barriers. Well, psychic do have high IQs.... And are extremely smart... she thought to herself. Mo, whatever you're doing, I wish you luck. I'm going to stop attempting to tell you what to do, Ironhide thought to Mo.

Scyther saw Mo flicker out of sight for a moment, and slowed in surprise. Then his reflection appeared from the maze af Barriers, although Scyther thought this was the real Mo. It sped up again, racing faster, faster, until it was a blur of motion...
Wham.
Scyther slapped into the Barrier, were it slid to the ground and rubbed it's throbbing temple, disorientated. Everywhere it looked it could see an Abra. Had Mo called some friends? Had the trainer released some more while it was occupied with hitting the Barrier? Then it saw dozens of versions of itself, gazing around in confusion. What? What was going on? Scyther remained perfectly still.
It figured it could just stand there all day, and tried to fly upwards, away from the many Abras. As it's wing cases opened to allow thin wings to wave in a flapping motion, Scyther fell back down to earth as a Barrier clipped a wing. Argh! It flew up again, occasionally bumping against an invisible Barrier. It flew toward to real Mo, which it could tell because it was 3-D, not a flat image. It wings stopped moving as it aimed itself to the ground in a nose-dive Quick Attack. Judging on its appearance, one more attack should finish it.

Mo was pleased when he heard the sound of te Scyther colliding with a Barrier. That part had worked, at least. This Scyther was smart, though... Unlike that Houndour back in his day. The Houndour kept ramming into the Barriers repeatedly until it made itself faint. Mo had to smile inwardly as he remembered that.
The many images of itself and the Scyther greeted Mo's eyes as he opened them temporarily. Not wanting to get confused, he closed them again, concentrating on the movement of the real Scyther. If he could pull off a few more moves, then perhaps he could defeat the Scyther with the non-physical moves he had.
Sensing the movement of the Scyther, he tried to figure out where the Scyther was, how fast he was moving, and when to make his move. Mo knew he was smarter than the Scyther, but even so.. he had to play his cards, so to speak, just right. Mo also knew that if he got hit one more time, it might be the Scyther's last attack before he won the battle. He could feel the movement of the Scyther nearby; the beat of its wings was different than the other noises. To Mo, it was like slow motion. He opened his eyes and Scyther's image was getting bigger on every Barrier, flying towards him with a Quick Attack. That was when Mo panicked and used Teleport, not sure where he would end up; just wanting to get out of there.
Ironhide was amazed at how Mo had taken control of things on his own. His idea was genius; making a mirror maze out of Barriers. Barriers! +Where'd he go?+
Geth asked, not seeing Mo's image on any of the Barriers. Ironhide looked and she, too, did not see him. When the Scyther had used Quick Attack again, shortly after Mo had disappeared. Mo opened his eyes again, to see he was on the other side of the Barriers, opposite the side that Ironhide and Geth were on. I really ought to not panic like that again... he said, trembling at the thought of having been hit and then ramming into the side of the Barriers. That would've hurt much for a Pokemon as small as he was.

Scyther was extremely frustrated when it realised Mo was gone again. It was so hard to get an attack in if you were battling an Abra. But as the saying goes, it's no use crying over spilt milk. Although there wasn't even enough time to cry. Hurtling to the groung at top speed, Scyther tried to save itself by pulling out it's wings, but this only resulted in the wings being hurt as well.
Groaning, Scyther barely managed to pull itself up. Not that there was much point- all it did was stagger, wobbling dangerously, into a Barrier. It slapped into the invisible wall, sliding down with a horrible squealing like nails being drawn down a blackboard. Once it was slumped on the ground again, it didn't get back up.
Scyther fainted! Mo gained one level! Scyther is now catchable!

"Mo? Where are you at?" Ironhide asked, not seeing the Scyther or Mo now. The Barriers began to fade away, one by one, revealing the Scyther on the ground, and Mo on what used to be the other side of the Barriers. +That was... Tough,+
Mo said, looking at the fallen Scyther. +Hmph. It would've gone a lot faster if you would've had some physical moves or something other than Barrier and Teleport,+ Geth commented with a snort, unhappy about not being in the spotlight. "Geth, shut it. I don't see you fighting a Scyther anywhere anytime soon,+ Ironhide snapped at Geth, who immediately shut up at the tone of her voice. Ironhide took an empty Pokeball from her belt and tossed it lightly a few times into the air. "Well, this should definitely get Geth wound up. Another non-shiny on the team will do some good," she said out loud as she tossed the Pokeball at the Scyther. +Who says an Abra can't battle?+ Mo asked triumphantly, feeling his body feel a litle tougher after the last battle, but quite exhausted. +Geth gets dibs on next battle. I need some rest...+ Mo said as he returned himself to his Pokeball. "Good; you deserve some rest," Ironhide commented, watching the wobbling Pokeball on the ground before her.
