Nuzleaf collapsed for a moment, but stood up with Chinling's squeal of disgust. Still holding the Pokemon, he attempted another Pound.

As the Nuzleaf went for another Pound attack, Dante spoke to Tropius quickly. "Tropius, use Leer!" Tropius glared at the Nuzleaf and stomped forward to reinforce this glare of death. Dante planned on using the Leer once more before going with another Gust attack, seeing as how Beldum was knocked out already. This reminded him of his first Champion battle; the one he lost.
It was him against Cynthia and Dante was young and naive, his Pokemon not as well trained as they were now. He did manage to get Cynthia to her third Pokemon, though, and Dante thought that he could defeat her with his Grotle who had the Leer ability like his Tropius. He almost had her third Pokemon down, but then she came around and switched with Garchomp who quickly dispatched his Grotle, signaling Dante's loss.

Nuzleaf, unlike Cynthia, was unable to switch out, so the plan would of course play through nicely. Fear errputed in his body as the Topius stared into his eyes, suddenly uge, anything frightning about her magnified. He let out an anxious whimper as those eyes continued to pierce into him. Argh! It was as if those horrible, scary eyes would never let go! Nuzleaf's defence trickled away as he held his head in his arms, whimpering fearfully and not attacking.

This would be it! "Tropius! Use Gust!" Tropius leaned back once more, and darted forward, sending one more strong wind towards Nuzleaf. When this hit, if it hit, Nuzleaf would be out, Chingling would be saved and Dante would maybe have another teammate. Horray!
OOC: I waisted my good muse on kingdom hearts, but I still have some left. It's like a coke at a theater. You waste the good, tasty parts on the advertisements for the movies and then you only have a little good left before you get to the watered down coke, which tastes nasty... unless it's coke zero, then it's awesome.

ooc// That's sort of godmodding, but I was gonna make it happen anyway, so nyeh. I know what you mean. I wasted mine at school.
ic// Nuzleaf was severely battered as the winds whipped past him. That was so... annoying. He growled in anger as he crashed to the ground. He was fainted. Chingling, managing to wriggle free, grinned as it jumped into Dante's arms. Finally, safety!

Dante laughed a little as he looked at the down Nuzleaf. It was amazing how such a small Pokemon can be a big problem. He still wondered what it wanted Chingling for, but it was safe now, so no worries. He walked over to Tropius, giving her a pet on the nose and a thumbs up. Dante remembered Beldum who had fainted before and placed Chingling on the ground beside Tropius, going over to Beldum and putting Beldum back into its Pokeball. Beldum did a good job, so he deserved the long rest he was going to take.
"Good job, Tropius. You did great." Tropius nodded as it walked over to Dante, pecking the Pokball with her nose. Dante nodded and looked over at the Nuzleaf. It was a sad sight to see. That Nuzleaf could've been a great ally... Then it hit Dante. He motioned Tropius over to the Nuzleaf and, as he went with her, he picked it up and placed it on Tropius' back. "Tropius, we're going to take Nuzleaf along with us. When we get to a Pokemon center, we'll drop Nuzleaf off and heal everyone else. Okay?" Tropius nodded and began walking forward.
Dante shook his head, went and grabbed Chingling, and caught up with Tropius.

Forgot to mention, but Tropius gained two levels from fighting Nuzleaf!
As they walked along with the additional weight of the grass type of Tropius' back, it became apparent Chinling wanted something. Frantically pointing at Dante, then at itself, it was confusing to what it wanted. Occasionally it would point out the quickest way out the route, as well.
Chingling sighed, then darted in. ~CHING! CHIIIIIIIING!~ it shouted, ramming itself into one of Dante's empty Pokeballs. Oh. It wanted to be caught!
