Hide and Birdy's Adoption Center

Some Pokemon are lost, abandoned, or abused. I take them in, trying to get them to like people more. Since I can't take them all in, I have to put some up for adoption. It's sad, really, that this happens, but it's life. Anyways, take a look-see at all the Pokemon we have here! Enjoy your stay!

~Professor Hide

Hello! New site, new staff! This is Birdy! Sadly, some trainers do not like there Pokemon. But luckily, some have the heart to trade them. The Pokemon will still have a good home, but can sometimes get a little sad anyway. I happen to have caught just about every kind of Pokemon there is, but instead of giving them to new trainers like Hide, I trade them to save a Pokemon from being abandoned. But there is a little problem- I, like Hide, find it dificult to take care of all these Pokemon. I hope you can find it in your heart to take care of them!

I've got a new job here! What I do is round up all the Pokémon that get lost or abandoned by people leaving the region. They all come here. I don't catch them myself, I just shepherd them together. Birdy or Hide always seem to be far too busy. I also try to iron out any... kinks in their personality. Hey, it's not nice, being just left on the streets of some town. I also give them new nicknames, since the old ones normally bring back bad memories. When they enjoy human company again, they come here. It's kind of being stuck with the dirty work, but I don't mind.

Personality: Luke is a little bit of an eccentric. He tends to keep within his 'shell' a lot of the time, but quickly warms up to people. He's fond of young children.

Personality: This Happiny is extremely clingy. As it's relatively young, all it wants to do is find a motherly figure to protect it.

Species: Glameow
Gender: Female
Level: 10
Attacks: Fake Out, Scratch, Growl
Personality: Doesn't much take to trainers. This Glameow is rather snooty, preferring to distance herself from other people. She needs a strong authoritive figure to tame her.

Attacks Poison Sting, Bite, Leer, Knock Off
Personality Scar, as you can probably tell from his name, was caught by an abusive, evil man, who is now in jail. He was beaten, locked up, starved and deprived of water. As a result he rarely speaks, he has a stutter and if he is around humans he will either attack them or cower.
Cost to adopt: 1,900SH

Species: Skitty
Level: 7
Attacks: Fake Out, Tail Whip, Growl, Tackle, Attract
Personality: This Skitty doesn't favor humans a whole lot, and would rather spend his time helping the weaker Pokemon of any trainer's team than actually listen to them.
Cost to Adopt: 2,000 SH

Species: Budew

Gender: Female
Attacks: Absorb, Growth, Water Sport, Razor Leaf
Personality: This Budew is very ladylike. She hates bad manners, or any kind of violence and rudeness, because her last trainer brought her up not to fight.
Cost to Adopt: 1,800 SH

Rules!

• It costs money to adopt Pokemon. Hey, some of these could be rare. No more than 5,000 SH will be spent here, though.
  
• Birdy isn't allowed to adopt anything she put here unless it was abandoned by a member. Likewise, Iron isn't allowed to adopt anything she put here.
  
• You are only allowed to adopt once a week, and you must have your starter first. Reservations can be made by PMing an admin.

[{Kairi Hill}]

Kairi, heard about a Skorupi named Scar in the newspaper. She felt so sorry for this Pokemon. Even though the paper said he attacks humans, Kairi felt like she could change him. She figured no one else would ever take him. So she figured she might as well try. She cried for poor Scar as she threw the newspaper in the trash can. She then walked into the Adoption Center with Sparky, Nox and Lux.

Sparky tried to warn Kairi that this Pokemon may be too dangerous,"No I'm taking him Sparky. And I won't give up on him until he learns to trust humans again," Kairi told him. Sparky looked confusef,"Pichu?"

"Yes, I know he's not a cute or beautiful Pokemon but I still want him," Kairi said as she walked up to the counter taking out some money,"I'd like to adopt that Skorupi, called Scar please."

Scar growled furiously as Birdy attempted to hand him over, snapping at her hands, stinging her arms furiously. She looked uneseay as she handed him over; he appeared to loath Kairi even more than he hated Birdy. Snarling, he ripped at her skin, not caring how much damage his claws did to her flesh in his attempt to escape. That must hurt. A lot.

Birdy cried out, snatching Scar away before he could draw blood. "Scar! Stop! She's here to help you! A home! A trainer!" she told the struggling scorpion.

~I hate humans! You'll just hurt me sooner or later! Pretend to be nice, then bam! I'm dead. Plus, she looks like the sort how goes about collecting little cute dorks, and won't spend a second levelling me up! ARGH!~[/color] Scar roared. With a final effort, he burst free of Birdy's grip.

Only to be caught again in his Pokeball. "Phew. Sorry about that, he's like that with everyone. Be VERY careful. I recon it'll take a lot of months of training to tame him." Birdy said, handing Kairi the red ball.

"Hey it's ok," Kairi said. She let Scar out of his ball,"It's ok. I understand what you must be going Though. My name is Kairi nice to meet you. I lost my father when I was only 3 and have been looking for him since. Plus none of the other kids in my neighborhood would play with me. I got picked on a lot, and used to get sick all the time. I understand you Scar, and I won't keep you in this PokeBall ever, and you only have to battle when you feel like it. If at any time you want to leave cause you hate me I'll let you," she explainned, as she sobbed for him. She wasn't even mad about her arm which was very sore and bleeding and looked to be broken. Scar sighed, this trainer wasn't as bad as what he first thought. But he still didn't like her. However since she was going though so much trouble for him, he figured he'd give her a chance. So Scar allowed Kairi to pick him up with her good arm and walk out of the adoption center. Kairi made a note to herself to go by the hospital to have her arm taken care of.

On his way out of the Town where Professor Hide lived Dylan had stopped at a gas station to fill the tank up his motorcylce before he headed out. As he stood by the nozzle one of his pokeballs fell out of the inside pocket of his jacket and rolled away from him. He jumped, stopping the flow of the petrol and starting to run after the ball. A young girl put her foot out to stop the rolling ball, gently tapping it with her tennis shoe. She picked up the pokeball and pressed the button, releasing Esteban, Dylan's Eevee. She picked up the Fox-like pokemon and handed him to his trainer.

Is he yours?"she asked as Dylan took him back and retunred him to his pokeball, making sure that it was secure this time.

"Yes, and thanks for catching him. Any way i can repay you?" The girl didn't look more than 15 or 16 years old, and she looked nervous as she replied, drawing out each word longer than needed. "You're a Trainer, right? Me and my family are moving to a new city, and they have an Ordinance about underage trainers having pokemon, so I had to give up my pokemon, I had to give him to an adoption Center and I was wondering if since you were trainer, would you maybe try to give him a home?"

And so now here he was, walking into the Adoption Center in the Mall to look for a pokemon that needed a good home. He went up to the counter, ringing a bell. i would like to adopt a pokemon, and I believe his name is..., He pulled a slip of paper out of his poket and scanned it quickly. "Skeet? do you still have him?"

It was Birdy that was behind the counter. The young teenager grinned at Dylan as he walked in. "Hey, there! How may I help you?" she asked as he approached the counter. She listened to his answer, smiling. "Oh goody, you're adopting Skeet! I believe he's the last Pokémon here!" she grinned, reaching for the Scyther's Pokéball. "Right, here he is. I believe he was traded by... oh, one Darvala Ironhide." she nodded, pressing the Pokéball into the trainer's hand. She took 4,000 SH off him, and bid him good day.

Alpha sighed, studying the Pokémon she'd just placed out.

"Shame to see you here again, old chap."
Scar snapped at the glass, clacking his claws against it futiley. Alpha bent down and watched as he attempted to get to her.
"You wouldn't take a new nickname, would you? The old one's stuck like a scab." The woman sighed. "Just when we thought we'd found someone who would persevere and take good care of you, and then they up and leave and dump you back here. That's life, hmm?"
Scar glared at her, and she stood up. "Okay, okay, I'll leave you in peace." Her eyes moved over the other containers with their new inhabitants. They had reasonably good personalities; if they hadn't, after all, she wouldn't have brought them. Luke, especially, was likely to get adopted fast; there was a high demand for Pikachu. That shiny, too. Everyone wanted a shiny these days.

Pushing her glasses further up her nose, Alpha took her position behind the counter. Neither Birdy nor Hide were here today, and being in charge was quite a nice feeling, once you got used to it. She settled down on the swivel-chair, fiddling with the hydraulic suspension with glee.
