Everything seemed peaceful that morning on Route Three, expect for a girl of 12 years old that was lost. Kairi noticed there seemed to be a lot of muck around. And the water looked very dirty,"Uh, I don't think we'll be finding any water Pokemon around here, guys," she told her Pokemon,"Well, not any that are alive anyway." This area was very huge and real easy to get lost in. Even though it was almost like a huge field and there wasn't very many trees around in the area. The long weeds of grass were very long, so long that they came up to Kairi's shoulders. And if not very watchful and careful you could step into the mucky water and get stuck. The water wasn't very deep but it was mucky and sticky and dirty. Kairi felt like she was going to be sick from just looking at the water.
"Skorupi! Skorupi pi!" Scar demanded on Kairi. What he said was,<Never kid about a thing like that.>
Kairi saw the way Scar looked at her,"Oh, sorry I mentioned it," she sighed. Scar nodded as they continued down the route trying to find there way down the route. There was really tall weeds of grass on this route that was for sure. Kairi continued watching though the tall grass. It started tickling her as she walked though it. She giggled a little bit as the weeds tickled her shoulders. She looked down and she couldn't even see Sparky or Scar though the long weeds. To tell the truth, Kairi was a bit nervous. It had been about three months since she battled. She didn't know if she'd be able to just jump right back in again or not. Oh well, she could only try her best, right?
"Pika pika?" Sparky asked her. He saw how nervous, Kairi looked and was a little bit worried for her.
"I'm fine, Sparky. Just not used to being back out in the open again. We need to start training harder you guys. You never know when a Team Vex member will jump out and attack us," Kairi informed, her Pokemon.
"Pikachu," Sparky told her.
"Now what is it, Sparky?" Kairi asked. Sparky made a face,"Oh! Him! Don't worry, Sparky. He's in jail now. He can't cause us anymore harm. Although I do feel sorry for his Pokemon. They of course was taken from him. I wish they would of let me take Lux though. He had a lot of great potential, for a Lucario."
Kairi started thinking about how great it would be if one day she could catch a Lucario of her own. She pictured the Lucario in her mind, using Aura Spear and Bone Rush, in a gym battle. Those were the attacks a Lucario was real famous for.
Maybe, Kairi would just save up her money and keep checking in the adoption center for a Lucario. Hey! They had to get one in, one day right. All this was on, Kairi's mind as she continued to daydream about Lucario, thinking the best part was it was one of the few Pokemon that could speak human. If she ever got one, she'd never put it in the PC....EVER! Heck, just one traveling around with her as a travel companion would be ok, by her even if it stayed wild and never became one of her Pokemon. Lucarios have been known to be natural born warriors and could sense auras in all living beings.
"Pikachu!" Sparky suddenly warned Kairi, snapping her out of her day dreams.
Kairi jumped, startled to death, not realizing Sparky had just been warning her she was about to step in some muck. Too late! Kairi stepped in it and got stuck,"Oh no! My new boots!" Kairi panicked, trying to get loose from the muck. Like this was the time to be worried about her boots. She really needed to get unstuck. She'd worry about her boots being dirty, later on. That was if she ever got lose from the mucky stuff that is. Water started soaking into her boots and though her socks to her feet,"Yuck! Gross!" Kairi screamed as she felt the slimy stuff,"Why does this kinda thing always have to happen to me!?" She said as she leaned her head up to the sky and screamed very loudly.
"Skor! Pi!" Scar said.
"Pika pika!" Sparky agreed. Both of the Pokemon with the sensitive hearing they had which was way better then a human's hearing range helf there ears, painfully as they begged Kairi to stop her whining.
"Oh I'm sorry," Kairi told them, calming down at once. What was wrong with this girl anyway? Couldn't she stand getting a little bit dirty? Kairi started thinking of how she could get out of the muck. She then got an idea,"Why didn't I see it before? It's so simple. All I have to do is remove my boots and just walk around barefoot in the muck. And hey! Maybe there are some really, rare Pokemon hidding where the muck is sandy at that are very rarely found," Kairi decided. She slipped out of her boots and socks and put her dirty white socks into her dirty black boots and tied the boots to her backpack.
Sparky and Scar just looked at Kairi like she was nuts or something. No way, was they going to get in there and get stuck,"Why don't you two just ride on my shoulders?" She suggested to the two of them. They both got onto Kairi's shoulders, as she made her way, barefoot though the muck. It worked! She was no longer getting stuck in the mucky stuff at all. And it actually felt pretty good on her feet as well. The muck felt nice and cool to the touch. She couldn't believe she was complaining before about how gross it was. Kairi walked over to a sandy pit and started digging around in the sand. What she was looking for, she had no idea, just any Pokemon that might be hiding in the sand.
"Pikachu?" The yellow mouse type asked his trainer, asking her what she was doing.
"Oh! I'm looking for wild Pokemon that might be hiding under here," Kairi told Sparky.
"Shorupi, Sho," said Scar, telling her,<I kinda doubt there would be anything hiding in a sand pit. Even if it is a very huge sand pit, at that.>
"Well, I don't know that unless I check right?" Kairi asked Scar. Even though she had no idea what he just said, she could take a pretty good guess at the way he looked at her when he talked, like he thought Kairi was just wasting her time or something. She ignored the way her Pokemon stared at her as she continued digging in the sand, not knowing she may be ruining a wild Pokemon's home, not knowing there are some wild Pokemon that actually live in sandy pits like these.

ooc// Could you please get rid of the pics at the top, or at least the pics of the Pikachu and Skorupi? They're stretching the page an awful lot.
ic// There were a number of Pokémon out and about on the route as usual, but none in that small sandy patch Kairi was sifting through. In fact, they had been watched by several so far on their travels through the marshy route, hidden in the long grass. Most of the route was typical marshland, with short grass, trees and a lot of mud, but Kairi was in the long grass at the moment, although there wasn't actually much more of that for her to squealch through. This area of long grass was one of the spots on the route containing the most Pokémon, since the long grass kept them hidden and gave good cover as they searched for food. Unfortunately, this also meant they were much harder to spot here.
After the girl had been walking along for such a long time without seeing any of the various Pokémon that had seen her, one was more obvious. There wasn't much of a path through the route as a few lines through the long grass where some other trainers had passed by. This Pokémon was trying to follow one. It was an old one so that he could be sure that he wouldn't be attacked by a trainer. It was all right when he watched them for a little while and decided that it was safe for him to talk to them, but when they just set their Pokémon at him without warning, that was a little scary and he'd heard of many an unhappy Pokémon being captured against their will that way.
As he wondered along the previous trainer's footsteps, the path unable to be seen from above as the only signs of it were the crushed grass, he heard Kairi's scream. Woah! Someone must be in trouble! After all, why would anyone scream if they weren't in danger? He considered running, but wasn't sure. A scream like that would probably have made every Pokémon within hearing distance run for safety, either from the screamer or whatever was making them scream. This Pokémon was a little more intelligent. If a load of Pokémon would be running... then they would come past him. He didn't want to encounter a predator!
He needed to move quickly, and so ran for the source of the scream, partly curious, partly worried for his own safety. He was constantly aware for any fleeing carnivores, but luckily managed to reach his destination undiscovered. Waddling forwards, he watched as it seemed as if a young girl had managed to free herself from a marshy spot and was now digging through an area of sand.
The Pokémon was terminally curious, and padded up with immense interest to see why on Earth this human was digging through the sand. He wasn't too big, a Corsola, and glanced at her Pokémon, clearing his throat to attract their attention. ~Excuse me, but could you please tell me why your trainer is scrabbling through dirt?~ he asked Sparky and Scar, knowing the girl wouldn't be able to answer him as she wouldn't understand Pokémon speak. As Kairi continued digging though the sand trying to find a strong Pokemon to battle a Corsola walked up to Sparky and Scar,~Excuse me, but could you please tell me why your trainer is scrabbling through dirt?~
Scar jumped going on the defense at once ready to protect Kairi if need be,<Calm down, Scar. It's just a Corsola,> said Sparky, getting in front of him and waving his arms,<Sorry, he's had it rough, rotten past. As for Kairi,> stares at her for a moment before turning his attention back to Corsola,<She's looking for a strong Pokemon to battle. She says we need the EXP.>
<Although, I don't think she'll be finding anything in there. Uh...are you strong? We've been looking for a nice friendly battle all day,> said Scar, asking Corsola for a fight. Kairi had stopped digging in the sand and noticed the Corsola. She just stared right at it as her Pokemon talked with it.

ooc// So sorry I've taken a while to reply to this! I completely forgot, sorry!
ic// Corsola was surprised at Scar's sudden jump to defend his trainer. He jumped, but felt more at ease when Sparky told the Skorupi to relax. It was good to know that their trainer was looking for a battle, since he wouldn't mind one himself. The pink Water and Rock type smiled at Kairi as she stared at him, shrugging in answer to Scar's question. ~Well, there are stronger Pokémon around here, and a lot of trainers' Pokémon are higher levelled around here, generally level fifteen. Compared to them, I'm not very strong. I'm level eight, is that good for you?~ he asked, unsure of how strong the Pokémon he was facing were. Corsola looked between Sparky and Scar. ~If you do want a battle, I don't really want to fight Sparky because as an Electric type he'll have an advantage over me. See, Wa-~ He was cut off by a rumbling voice underground speaking, ~I'll fight the Pikachu.~ There was a considerable amount of venom in this voice. The ground near where Kairi had been digging shook, revealing a Hippopotas that had been watching the entire scene disguised and mostly buried. He snarled at Kairi. ~You could destroy a Pokémon's home like that. Or worse, perhaps a den with a mother and her newly hatched kids.~ he was aware that she wouldn't be able to understand, but wanted to at least try. Striding over, he glared right at Sparky. This Pokémon seemed to have a temper, and once angered, he was not a nice guy. ~From what I can hear, I'm almost as strong as that Corsola. I'll take on the Pikachu of that trainer with no respect for a Pokémon's home,~ he spat, flinging a load of sand at Sparky in a Sand-Attack to start the battle. Corsola looked a little worriedly at Scar. ~I suppose we could try a double battle, but however furious Hippopotas gets, remember I'm just trying to have a friendly battle. No bad thoughts from me,~ he told the Skorupi, not wanting him to get the wrong idea. He let Scar have the first move.[/blockquote]

OOC: YES! A Hippopotas is what I was looking for. I suppose your letting me have a chance at catching both of these Pokemon. If not, I'll just take the Hippopotas.
~If you do want a battle, I don't really want to fight Sparky because as an Electric type he'll have an advantage over me. See, Wa-~ The Corsola started to say when Kairi felt a rumbling sound and a Hippopotas popped out. She cheered in excitment. That was the Pokemon she had been wanting to find. Ever since she entered the route she had been searching for a Hippopotas or it's evolved form. She heard they were pretty strong and she wanted one.
~I'll fight the Pikachu.~ Hippopotas suddenly announced.
~Hey! That isn't fair! Your a ground type. The only attacking move I know that will damage you is Iron Tail!~ Sparky growled in anger.
Ingoring Sparky the Hipopotas turned to Kairi,~You could destroy a Pokémon's home like that. Or worse, perhaps a den with a mother and her newly hatched kids.~
~She's human! She doesn't understand a word you say, moron!~ Scar screamed at Hipopotas,~However if you want to hurt her, your going to have to get though me first!~ Scar growled in anger, showing his claws. They shined in the sunlight.
The Pokemon continued talking, Kairi not understanding what they were saying. Suddenly Hipopotas ran at Sparky getting ready to attack. The Sand Attack was avoided as Scar thinking Hipopotas was trying to attack Kairi, jumped in to protect her. He sent Poison Sting at the Hipopotas,~I will not allow you to harm her!~
~Hey! This is my battle!~ Sparky argued. Which Scar ignored. Scar's only thoughts were protecting Kairi. And here he saw a threat to her safety.

ooc// This makes me confused, because I already replied to this and yet that reply is not there... that is kinda annoying.
ic// Hippopotas shrugged as Sparky protested that the battle would be unfair. ~You gotta learn to deal with a type disadvantage at some point, mate. Better now than later on, to be honest,~ he said, thinking that an Electric type should be prepared to fight a Ground type they had no effect on, just like he would be prepared to fight a Flying type. He was pleased, then, to hear Sparky getting annoyed when Scar tried to fight his battle for him. Corsola was annoyed, too, and leaped forward to take the hit for Hippopotas. He winced, but Poison Sting was a weak attack and not very effective on him anyway as he was part Rock type. Hippopotas looked very confused as to why this Pokémon had taken the hit for him. Corsola just smiled. ~Hey, Scar's supposed to be my opponent, after all. Besides, if we're gonna beat them we're gonna need to work together. I'll stop Scar from hitting you if you stop Pikachu from hitting me,~ he offered. Hippopotas nodded. As much as he hated that teamwork and friendship mush, he had to admit, Corsola's statement sounded like it could definately help them win this battle. Right. Time to get to business. Without further delay, Hippopotas leapt straight for Sparky with his jaws open in preparation for a Bite attack. He gave no warning that he was about to attack, the Ground type simply ending his talk with Corsola and attacking his opponent. Corsola looked at him for a moment, before deciding to follow suit and charged at Scar in a strong Tackle attack.[/blockquote]

Kairi got what was going on,"Hey, if I have to fight with a type disadvantage so do you! It's only fair. Return Scar!" Kairi called Scar back into his Poke Ball,"Go Rose!" The green type, Budew, appeared from her Poke Ball. This was super effective against both water and rock types,"Now, don't run away. If you want me to face a disadvantage you have to be willing to do the same thing. Rose, use Razor Leaf on the Corsola! Sparky! Jump across the leafs and come down on Hippopotas with Iron Tail!"
"Bu...dew!" Rose cried out, using her Razor Leaf attack, sending it at the Corsola. This would be super effective to both it's water side and it's rock side.
"Pika!" Sparky jumped from leaf to leaf, his tail glowing as he also hit each leaf with his tail making it go faster towards the Corsola. When he thought he saw an opening to attack Hippopotas he came down,"Chu!" Using his Iron Tail attack,"PIKA!"
