"Gee, I wouldn't do that if I were you..." Fox warned, watching as Gee attempted to hop onto a rock near the edge of the river. Being a bit clumsy, she slipped off the first time, but retried and got on the second time. She scooted as close to the edge as she could, and let her tail hang off of the edge of the rock. +Aww, why not? Won't this work? It's how Slowpoke get their shells! Perhaps we'll catch a Manaphy!+
Gee exclaimed. "Yeah, right, Gee. Good luck with that..." Fox said with a sigh. Sometimes, Gee could be too non-realistic. +You should try this,+ Gee said, her eyes showing the emotion her tail would have if it wasn't in the river. "Yeah, Gee. I'll just grow a tail over night and let the fish bite it as I stick it into the water," Fox said, rolling her eyes. +Well, sheesh... I was just trying to have a bit of fun..." Gee said, hanging her head. "Gee, I'm sorry. It's just that, well... I don't know. I guess I'm a bit Krabby today," Fox said with a chuckle, trying to brighten the mood. +Hey, that's a good one! Teehee!+ Gee said, brightening up and giving a doggy chuckle as she swished her tail around a bit, wondering if this would even work. "Well, let's try it your way. We'll wait here for a few more mintues before we move on. That alright with you?" Fox asked. +Sure. I have a good feeling about this, actually...+ Gee said, an involuntary shudder rippling through her; though, it was from excitement.

Two eyes were watching the fluffy tail of the Poochyena swish back and forth, abck and forth. Was that Poochyena really thinking she'd get a bite this way? The Pokemon chomped its jaws, testing them; yup. If it was a bite she wanted, it was a bite she would get. It swam up the river the little distance it had been, and carefully timing; bit the Poochyena's tail. It then swam to the surface. +You gaud a bi'!+
it declared, its many teeth showing as it smiled mischeviously. WILD TOTODILE APPEARED!

+Ow, ow, OW!!+
Gee yelped, leaping off of the rock with the Totodile still clinging to her tail. "Gee, I told you that wasn't the best of ideas..." Fox said, stifling a giggle as she saw Gee trying to pry the Totodile loose. +Of course I got a bite! Now, let go of my tail! It was only to be used temporarily!+ Gee said in distress, running in a large circle. Fox couldn't help but giggle now. Well, this would be a sight to remember, that was for sure. "If you really want him off, you'll have to be polite, or you could go the rude way and attack," Fox said. +I'll take the rude way, and remind me to never stick my tail in unknown waters again!+ Gee exclaimed. She turned so her head was aimed at the Totodile, then she opened her mouth a a yellow jagged light shot out toward the Totodile; Thunder Fang.

The Totodile laughed somehwhat maniacally as it held onto Gee's tail. +Bu' dis is tempowawiwy!+
it said through a mouthful of fur. By the looks of it, it wasn't a Bite attack, but rather a chomping, like most young Totodile's did. Every time its grip slackened, it would bite down a little harder, though somehow not intentionally trying to hurt Gee. All it wanted was some fun... At the sound of 'do it the rude way' he panicked. What would that mean? An attack? Sure enough... when Gee stopped running and turned her head to face him, he knew he should have let go and went running in the opposite direction, but he didn't. He stood there, tail loosely in his mouth as the Thunder Fang shocked him. +Ow! You didn't have to do it the rude way!+ he said, forcing himself to get up. A yellow static emitted from his body; he had been paralyzed by the Thunder Fang! He opened his mouth as if to speak again, only opened it steadily wider and shot a torrent of water at Gee. That Thunder Fang had really done some damage; if you could get another one of those off, or any other physical attack in general, would likely do him in.

"Alright, Gee. This is your time to shine!" Fox said, taking her position behind Gee. +Perhaps if you wouldn't have leeched onto my tail I wouldn't have had to!+
Gee snarled, doding the attack before Fox could tell her to. "Alright, Gee. Let's see what you got. Finish him off with another Thunder Fang!" Fox said. Gee grunted her awknowledgement and shot another Thunder Fang at the Totodile, hoping he would be paralyzed so as to hit him with success. ((See you at the meet!))

((Oh, boy! That was extremely fun! I LOVE watching the guy's 4x4! That's the most interesting event ever... and the one we pwn the most at It was funny watching Nathan completely sprint the last 100 faster than he had gone the rest of the 400 because we kept yelling really loud 'GO NATHAN! HE'S RIGHT BEHIND YOUUU! GO, GO, GO!' ... and when he got to the finish line he looked back was like 'oh, crap... I wasted my energy for a 100+-meter win? xD' ... anyway...))
The Totodile gave a small sigh as he realized he was completely immobile now. When the Thunder Fang came toward him he tried his hardest to move, but only succeeded so by moving an inch to the right; not enough to dodge the attack. It hit him full-blast, and he shook as it hit him. Once he was finished being zapped, he fell to the ground in defeat.
Wild Totodile was defeated! Gee gains three levels! Do you wish to capture the fallen Totodile?
Ah... that battle was much too easy. You should try to find another battle before moving onto Parchville. This Totodile definitely wasn't the brightest... though, using an electric-type attack like that against a water-type had its advantages.

((Oh, yes. And it was much more exciting that you got 3rd in both shot put and discus; and discus you haven't thrown in about 2 years ))
Gee snorted as she saw the Totodile fall to the ground. +No more tail-fishing for me,+ she declared, and headed down the river, obviously not wanting Fox to capture the Totodile. Fox took a look at the Totodile and pondered- what if, perchance, since Sha didn't like the Turtwig, liked this Totodile? Gee liked the Turtwig, but not this Totodile- it would make up for that. Hmm. Well, it would make things a bit more even, that was for sure. She took an empty Pokeball from her belt and tossed it at the fallen Totodile, hoping he would be as easy to catch as he was to defeat... with the help of an electric-type move.

((It's not that amazing, really... *cough*))
The Pokeball shook weakly for a while, then finally stopped. Easy catch! Better toughen up that Totodile if you want to keep him.

A loud thumping noise came from the distance; almost as if something was attempting to knock down a tree, or break a log in half. Hmm... how odd. Wish to investigate, or find something else that would for sure end up in a battle?

Fox quickly retrieved the Pokeball in which she had caught the Totodile and added it to her belt along with the other Pokeballs. Now she had four Pokemon- Sha, Gee, the Turtwig, and now a Totodile. Well, not all the same type, that much was good. It was good to have a variety of Pokemon. Well, unless you were part of the Elite Four or something, but she knew that would never happen. She wouldn't have the patience for it, most likely.
Gee's ears perked up at the ramming noise. She had completely forgotten about the Totodile already- obviously, she didn't care about him a whole lot. +Come on! Let's go check it out!+
Gee exclaimed, running forward at a brisk pace. Just as Fox had caught up, Gee began running. Great. She ran even faster now to keep up with Gee, and slowed as the noise was quite loud now. "Well, Gee. Use your sniffer. Perhaps you can smell whatever it is," Fox said sarcastically. +Good idea!+ Gee said- once again, taking things seriously. She put her nose to the air, then to the ground, and then back to the air, and darted off into the trees. "Me and my big mouth... Gee takes things a bit too seriously..." Fox mumbled, following at a much slower pace now. The ruckus caused by Gee was enough to to keep anyone trailing after her easy. Gee stopped, one paw curled and raised in the air. Well, she must have found whatever it was she had been looking for, then. Fox glanced around, not seeing anything out of the ordinary, though the noise had stopped. Perhaps she was overlooking the Pokemon or person that had been making that noise?

When Gee got close enough, the banging stopped. As Fox looked around, the only thing that looked not exactly in place was a Heracross. It was just standing there, staring at you. A tree beside it had some indentions the shape of the Heracross's horns- perhaps that had been the source of the banging? The Heracross ramming its horn against the tree? Before anything else could happen, the Heracross had hopped in front of Gee, staring with a blank expression down at her. +Battle?+
it asked. Its voice showed no emotion whatsoever, and sounded almost as if it was robotic, though this Heracross certainly was not robotic. Wild Heracross wants to battle!

Gee had been gazing the entire time at the Heracross, but Fox obviously hadn't know what she was looking at. She jumped back at the sudden appearance of the Heracross in front of her, and Fox stepped back so that Gee wouldn't run into her. +Battle? Sure!+
Gee said excitedly. Fox sensed something... unusual about this Heracross. "Alright, Gee. This one will be tough, I'm sure," Fox said. +Tough? Ha! This will be fun!+ Gee said. Fox sighed, knowing it would be of no use to try and get Gee to understand that this Heracross was quite powerful-looking... though, she could be wrong. She hoped she was. "Alright, Gee. Start it off with a Howl, then follow up with a Tackle!" Fox said. Gee complied, howling loudly as her attack power raised. As she finished, she charged at the Heracross with her head lowered, ready for her Tackle.

The Heracross waited patiently as Gee used a Howl, making no attempt to move or attack. All it did was stare at Gee as she howled, and then run at it. When it seemed as though it would do absolutely nothing to attack, it lowered its head at an amazing speed and shot its head forward, its small horn on its head glowing as it used a Horn Attack. This Heracross would certainly be tricky to battle- you wouldn't know what it would use until last second. And, Heracross usually had a pretty high defense- that would make it even tougher to battle. This battle could go on for a while if you play your cards right, but in the end, if you do, you will prevail.

Gee had thought that she would make direct contact and was not in the slightest expecting the counterattack from the Heracross. She knew it would be impossible to dodge at this rate- the Horn Attack hit Gee dead-on and she was sent careening backwards. Even when she landed, it was a bit before she stopped skidding. Fox could tell that it had been a critical hit- just by the way Gee slowly got up to her feet and was acting. "Gee, can you continue?" she asked. +Of course I can! I'm not going to go down that easily.+ she growled. "OK, then. We'll have to be careful here, Gee. We'll have to think a couple of moves in advance if we want to win." Fox said, kneeling down beside Gee. "If you see that the Heracross ready to use a Horn Attack on you again, no matter what you're doing, use a Thunder Fang. I'm not sure what other moves this Heracross will know, but if needed, switch to a better move or the defensive if you realize in time what it's going to use." Fox said quietly. +Sure thing.+ Gee said, taking a few steps forward. Fox stood up and took a few steps back. "Alright Gee, let's do this. Use another Tackle!" Fox said, thrusting her arm outward as she pointed to the Heracross. Gee lowered her head and charged at the Heracross again, hoping that this time she would make contact; or, if the Heracross used Horn Attack again, use a Thunder Fang on it before it could make contact with her.

The Heracross waited patiently for Gee to finish talking with her trainer, discussing a strategy. +I was beginning to wonder if you'd ever stop chatting.+
the Heracross said, hard to tell if it was serious or sarcastic. +Good to know you're find an' dandy. I really do hate battling weaklings...+ the Heracross said. Again, as Gee charged as the Heracross with another Tackle, it just stood there. And this time, the Heracross took the Tackle attack. +Oof! Not bad.+ it said as it skidded back a few feet. It charged forward with incredible speed, and lashed out with its left front arm, a dark aura glowing around it; Night Slash. [/blockquote]

+You're too kind.+ Gee half-growled, half-grunted. +I can assure you, I'm no weakling!+ Gee exclaimed in protest. That really ticked her off; just because she had been taken advantage of by male Poochyena and was somewhat young and inexperienced didn't mean she was weak! That got her nerves going, and was glad to comply with Fox's request.
Oh, dear. This was quite odd. A dozen thoughts crossed Gee's mind as she saw the Heracross use a Night Slash instead of a Horn Attack; it seemed as though everything was going in slow motion. There was no way to dodge... continuing to use a Tackle would hurt her much more than it would hurt the Heracross. So, her plan as if the Heracross were using a Horn Attack sat in; use a Thunder Fang. The attack wasn't as painful as she thought it might be; perhaps because the attack was a Dark-type move, and she was a Dark-type as well. As the Heracross's arm connected with her mid-section, she twisted her head and sparks flew from her mouth as she latched onto the Heracross's arm, holding as tight as she could, not planning to let go anytime soon.
