The Turtwig gasped as an awkward sensation he had never felt before overcame him. Almost feeling as if he were being sucked toward a certain space, his eyes looked around wildly, until the Absol finally hit him. +So uncalled for! Must. Protect. BRANCH!+
the Turtwig exclaimed, getting up from the hit and quickly using a Withdraw again to raise his defense. He glared at the Absol before charging again with a the same-looking attack as before. However, there was a slight difference. The Turtwig seemed to get a bit brighter, and was moving at a much faster speed... Double-Edge. +Oh! Would you look at that. The little baheamoth is actually doing something other than eating!+ chirped a Starly from the trees; the same one that had flew by earlier. It flapped its little wings and decided to settle inbetween Gee and Fox. +You know, it's interesting seeing how fast Pokemon that eat so much can go. I really thought he'd be slower than a Slakoth, Slowpoke, and Snorlax put together,+ the Starly said, watching the battle with the same amount of interest or less as Fox.

And that's how I roll, though Sha as she made contact. She glared at the Turtwig, hoping that the attacked would have weakened him enough to realize he wouldn't win. She gave a sigh of exasperation as he was still as motivated as ever. And, again, he surprised her. She should have know that as soon as he was done with Withdraw he would attack with Tackle, but... as she was planning out a strategy, she was caught off-guard. She attempted to leap out of the way, but lost her balance and was caught broad-sided by the Tackle. No... that didn't even feel like a tackle. That felt much more powerful... had that been Double-Edge? She had no time to think as she forced herself to her feet, but only to collapse from the effort. She looked to Fox for help, with pleading eyes, but Fox offered none. OK, she'd have to finish this herself. Hmph. Well, fine. So be it!
+Ooh! That's going to leave. A. Mark!+
Gee said, watching as the Double-Edge hit Sha. Fox turned to the Starly, glad to make conversation with someone or something other than Gee. "Well, looks can be deceiving. Just because a Snorlax is lazy and overly large doesn't mean it isn't a good fighter. In fact, the best Pokemon are sometimes the laziest or the ones that people hate the most," she said. Fox turned her attention to Sha again; she did feel a little sorry for her, but... she had been the one wanting the fight, oddly. All because of that crunching noise, too... Strange how things got dirty so fast fro the littlest things. A single bug became a swarm. Sha forced herself to her paws again, this time holding, and attempted a Faint Attack again. Well, the Turtwig sure had done some damage to itself as well. After all, Double-Edge did do recoil damage, like Take Down did for example. Well, if she could get a lucky shot off, she might be able to pull this off... When she knew that the Turtwig was being sucked in, she readied herself for a double-attack; Scratch right after. ((Rawr. Boo for muse dying D: ))
The Starly chriped with amusement at Gee's comment. +Well, aren't you a bright cookie?+
it said, the tone making it hard to tell if it was sarcastic or serious. +Though I don't favor him too much, I wouldn't want to get into a fight with him. I've seen him knock entire trees down with a bit of motivation and time,+ the Starly said, hopping a few feet closer. +Woo! Get that mangy mutt, Turtwig! Get 'er, get 'er, get 'er!+ the Starly chirped, hopping from side to side, not more into the battle than before, cheering the wild Pokemon on. And, again... that sucking sensation. The Turtwig knew what was coming and prepared himself as best he could; he had no idea what direction the Absol would be attacking from. When she appeared right in front of him it came as a surprise; and when her claws lashed out they did a good bit of damage; more than they would normally do. A critical hit! The Turtwig lay shaking on the ground. +Branch... be... mine!... You no have my branch! ARGH!+ the Turtwig grunted, as he began to run at the fast speed toward Sha again, glowing a little bit. Man, this Turtwig was either really determined, stupid, or wanted that Absol to go to h- e- double hockey sticks. He was sacrificing his last bit of HP just to hurt her. Well, that was some great rivalry there.

((Well, if that's your version of 'dead muse', then that's actually pretty darn good. Though, I can see why you'd say that... you've been typing up these BA replies all day and probably have no juices left xD I'm about the same way, though it's more because of me being tired rather than typing out really nice posts like you.))
Gee stared hard at Fox; this Starly was getting into the battle with enthusiasm. Why couldn't she? Fox noticed the look and sighed. "Alright, Gee. Cheer whoever on. Just don't get in the battle, alright?" Fox said. Boy, this was a whole lot different than working back home. Well, technically, she wasn't a criminal yet, so... it was good to enjoy some quality time with her Pokemon. Living a criminal-free life wasn't so bad, actually... no worrying about the next heist, what The Boss would say, or anything of the sort. She noticed Gee run up next to the Starly and begin cheering on both of them; sending insults to both and encouraging both, but she didn't hear the comments... she was too busy reliving the days before she met her Boss, who's name already had slipped her mind...
Why the hell was the Turtwig still upset about that darn branch? Didn't he realize there was plenty more branches to munch on besides that one? Didn't he realize that she didn't want the effing branch? No, of course not. This Turtwig was worse than that Poochyena! At the sound of the small Starly encouraging the Turtwig. She glared at the Starly, and then immediately regretted it, and knew she would for the rest of her time. Before she could even turn her gaze back to the Turtwig, he had rammed into her with more power than ever. Already, she knew the battle was lost, unless of course it was a draw... it was possible, wasn't it?
Sha allowed herself to be hurled backward, and didn't even bother attempting to get up. It was all she could do to keep her own eyes open. +Sha, Sha! Are you alright?+
came the pesky voice of Gee. +Go away,+ Sha growled back with obvious displeasure. +Aww, no need to be angry with me, Sha. I'm not the one who picked the fight with the Turtwig. He made himself faint by using that last Double-Edge!+ Gee said with excitement. Sha tore her eyes open to see her defeated foe. She closed them again, now peacefully welcoming the exhaustion that was overwhelming her. +What, you just going to go to sleep now?+ Gee asked in disbelief. +Yup. Now go away,+ Sha growled, though with much less aggression than before. "Well, now that isn't what I expected," Fox said in disbelief as she was both her Absol and the Turtwig fall. She took out Sha's Pokeball and returned her to take a nice, long rest that she would likely drag out as long as possible. She'd likely never want to be out of her Pokeball once she realized that the Turtwig was on their team. She took an empty Pokeball from her belt, fingering it lightly in her hand, rolling it around a bit. "Well, here's to a new team member," she said, tossing the Pokeball at the fallen Turtwig. ((Hope it's alright to capture. If not, I'll edit my post.))

((Yeah, that's fine. Quick post, I have to go to bed. See you tomorrow ))
The Turtwig grunted as he felt the last of his remaining HP dwindle down to nothing, and collapsed into blackness. He was completely unaware as the Pokeball sucked him in, having no fight in him to even fight to try and get out. The last thing he thought of was 'My branch...!'
Species: Turtwig Name: Gender: Male Level: 8 Attacks: Tackle, Withdraw, Double-edge Personality: This Turtwig seems to think anything is edible. He will eat almost anything, and is overly-protective of branches from trees and twigs in particular. Add more if you wish.

+Well, Sha's going to just love that,+
Gee said, running around in circles around Fox. "Well, Sha needs to learn her manners. She needs to stop being so defiant," Fox said, walking over to pick up the Pokeball and carefully placed it on her belt. +I don't see why she has those problems, though...+ Gee said with a sigh, ceasing her trotting for once. "That's just like asking why you have to be moving all the time," Fox said, moving onward. +Hey, now that's different... I have, um, um, um... ADD or whatever,+ she defended. "Add an 'H' in there and I think you're right," mumbled Fox, hearing the faint noise of a river; ah, the next portion of her journey. Glancing at her map, it said that the path alongside the river would bring them directly to the first town. No Gym, but the people there were friendly enough she had heard. Gee seemed not to have heard what Fox had said and ran ahead. +Dibs on the first battle! I so have dibs!+ she declared. Fox sighed; of course she had dibs. Sha was almost wiped out, and the Turtwig, well... that was a different story.
