Sulteron walked down the path, the Daycare Center in sight. Fairo was in her arms for a change, clutching nervously to her sleeve. Fiela was gliding ahead, using telepathy to give the Espeon 'morph directions.
~Are you sure you're not going to leave us there? You might just be saying this to get my guard down. I heard they make you all live in one room, packed together. And they keep you in a tiny cage with the Pokemon you hate the most.~ Fairo was syaing quickly, paw tightening. Sulteron prised it open, her arm now hurting from his claws.
"Fairo, I told you. I'm not going to leave you there yet, they don't treat you like that, and we're just here to see if this is a fossil, and if so, if it can be revived." Sulteron sighed, producing a glittering amber rock. She could see something inside it, and had heard about these 'Old Amber'. She stepped up to the door of the Daycare Center, clutching the item.
When she knocked on the door, it was answered almost immedietly. It was Victoria, or Vic, who answered it. Her eyes widened at the strange appearance of the 'morph and the Espeon, then they went even wider as she saw the stone she was clutching. Could this mean... their first public revival? She grinned, breathless. "You're here to revive that Old Amber, no?" she asked, recieving a nod from Sulteron. Vic gasped, waving Sulteron in.
"Nick, come here! Our first revival; this girl has an Old Amber!" Vic called, summoning the presence of a man with his hair tied in a bandana. He grinned as well, leading everyone over to a room containing a variety of scientific equipment. A Kabotops and Omastar were in a large area filled with rocks, dirt and a deep pool. "As you can see, so far all our resurections have been successes. The Pokemon are always confused and irritible, a little wild, but they'll warm up to you eventually. It costs 15,000SH. Are you ready?" Nick explained, gesturing at the two ancient Pokemon before holding out his hand to take the money. Sulteron pressed it into it, along with the Old Amber.
Once placed in a large chamber, the item was attached to a number of wires and monitors which linked up to a control panel fixed to the ground. Nick and Vic pressed buttons, pulled levers and turned dials, and the Old Amber became enveloped in a brilliant white light, much like when a Pokemon evolved, only stronger. It reminded Fiela with a shudder of when she had evolved.
It dimmed, and Sulteron was able to see what now lay in the chamber. It streched it's wings, and let out a loud, clear call. ~Aero!~
Nick gasped. Vic's face was full of joy. "It's an Aerodactyl!" they cried in unison, releasing the doors to the chamber. The Aerodactyl emerged, a confused expression on it's face. Sulteron stepped cautiously up to it, hand outstretched. She rested it upon the dragon's shoulder. "Aerodactyl, welcome to the 21st century. Do not be afraid. You have been gone for millions of years, and now you are back. Do not worry. I will guide you through all the new inventions and Pokemon." she spoke clearly. Aerodactyl took this all in, then spoke.
~My name is Prisul. I do not recall creatures of your sort dominating the planet. Noone used to own us. What are these Pokemon? I know Kabutops and Omastar, but not the fire-lizard and winged cat. And you are different also; you are not the same as the other two. You are like the winged cat.~ Prisul the Aerodactyl answered, nodding. It was very strange, but he would learn. He would understand.
Sulteron explained these things, answering any additional questions he put in. This went on for another hour or so, until Prisul felt ready to enter the advanced outside world. When he did, it was a shock; things were now very different. Never the less, he walked close to Sulteron's side, occasionally nudging her to ask what something was. He was terrified of this new world, and Sulteron, although his only guide and hope of surviving this strange future, he did not trust fully. He only followed her because he had to.
