Sulteron watched as the beam came down, struggling to get back to save the Pokemon, even though a part of her already knew that was impossible. "LUCARIO!" she screamed, "LUCARIO! Are you there!? Oh, Lucario! Speak to me!" while Fairo howled, the two frantically scraping away bits of rubble and debris. There was no reply. Tears were running down both their cheeks.
Tyrantar called for the girl to come. Everyone knew that nothing could be done, and if anyone tried anything, there would be more than just Lucario under the bricks. Sulteron, still weeping freely, took a final look at the scene where the Pokemon had fallen, and ran out to save her own life. That was what the Pokemon had died for, so she should at least stay alive... for Lucario.
Once safely outside, Sulteron fell to the ground. She curled into a ball, sobbing into her tail. Her other Pokemon, who had been hiding with the Psyduck nearby, came over. Some of them looked pretty upset themselves, but looked a lot more cheerful when they saw that their trainer was all right... pysically, at least. Sulteron's back shuddered with each sob. Fiela looked at the girl and Charmeleon. ~What happened? We heard a cry of pain... were's Lucario?~ she asked, and Fairo explained everything to them in a hushed tone.
"Lucario... Luc... Ario... Oh... Arceus, oh... Fairo, he's gone... Lucario..." she moaned. He had died after all he had. He did not deserve that! She scanned the escaped Pokemon. The Psyduck and Golduck were present, and Mizu was clutching the egg... at least they were safe.

The last thing Lucario saw before being buried under the debris and going black was the look on Sulteron's face. Well, at least she was safe... a last act of being a so-called 'hero'. However, though Lucario lay under all the debris, out cold, he wasn't dead. The enormous amount of pain kept him there, and made him claw his way back to consciousness. Not that it did him any good, really. He knew that there would be no way that he would live, after this. He opened his eyes, his vision blurred. When he inhaled air, he coughed as the dust and whatnot from the debris entered his nostrils. When he coughed, a new spasm of pain was sent down his spine and he moaned in pain. If the girl was smart, she was far away from the building by now. But, from what little he did know about her she was likely just outside. He weakly raised his ears and closed his eyes, seeking out her body form outside the building. Sure enough, she was outside. Sobbing over, apparently, him. Lucario looked over his shoulder to see a slightly heavy beam on his legs. He shook his head to keep himself awake. If he was going to die, it would certainly not be here. He would rather smell the fresh air outside before he passed. That was his goal, he decided. To get outside, get a few good whiffs of fresh air, and then die.
With what strength he had left, Lucario lifted himself up, and dragged himself out from underneath the beam, some fo the debris on top toppling down beside him. The beam collapsed, and, luckily, stayed supported somehow. Lucario sat up, panting heavily, barely able to feel the bottom half of his body, and barely able to move it. He had a couple more tasks to do, so he sat there for a few minutes, letting some strength come to him.
The Armaldo came back up from digging its deep hole, covering it up as it went. It had been listening to what was going on up above, and when it reached the surface, it was just in time to see Lucario rescue the trainer and instead, sacrifice himself. That hadn't been the Lucario it had known over the years... this was a very different Lucario. Perhaps it was good to sacrifice... to an extent. It walked slowly over to where the others were, towering over them. +There is nothing we can do now. You have a long journey ahead of you, I assume, and you should get going. What happens happens, nothing more, nothing less, young trainer,+
the Armaldo said. +She's right. You could stay her to mourn Lucario, or move on. You are a bright girl, with a good heart,+ the Tyranitar said. The Charizard nodded in agreement to the two, as did the Dusknoir. Jolteon sat in front of the entrance, ears drooping, and head down. Its only friend was now gone. Lucario had taught him everything... though the others didn't know it, Lucario had started to have second thoughts about this life about a year ago, and had been having some plans on how to take the place down. This hadn't even been close to anything he had said, but... it had gotten the job done. Jolteon was about to turn around when a large clatter came from within the building. Not the kind that would happen after a building had finished collapsing, either. It was the kind that seemed controlled, as if someone was just knocking something down that was too large to pick up and move neatly. Jolteon looked to the entrance, and saw something that he had never seen, and would never see again. Lucario grunted and strained as he used the most recent move that Garth had taught him, using a TM. TM29, to be exact. A purple glow appeared around him as he closed his eyes, his ears raised as he did so. He used his aura to sense where things were. He moved the entire debris set that had been on top of him and around him and set it aside, making a huge clattering noise. The entire time, his whole body was convulsing, wanting to shut down, but he wouldn't allow it, not yet. He began a slow and steady crawl towards the door, trying to keep things in focus. The door was just a little ways away... he collapsed fro exhaustion, fighting to stay in the world he had grown to know and love. A bushy yellow figure appeared beside him, and he recognized it as Jolteon. +We thought you were a goner!+ he heard him faintly say, as Jolteon got Lucario's arm hooked around his neck and he began dragging him out of the building. "I will... soon be..." Lucario managed to say, using weak telepathy. +Nonsense! You'll be fine, Lucario! You have to be,+ Jolteon said, a few tears coming to his eyes as the bright sunlight made Lucario squint. He hadn't remembered the sun being that bright before... why was it so bright now? All of Garth's previous Pokemon looked in awe at Lucario, who had somehow managed to survive being buried under the piles of rubble. However, he was in no condition to even stand up; and, that move he had used... that was something you wouldn't see any normal Lucario use. A Lucario using Psychic? Garth must have liked Lucario so much as to teach him that, and only recently, too. However, by the way Lucario's body was acting, the shuddering, the sweat, and even the way he dragged himself, was a sure sign he would not live long unless he got immediate professional help. But, how to get to a professional in a short amount of time?

Sulteron looked up and wiped her tears away at the sight of Lucario. Normally she would have flung her arms over the survivor, but right now he looked as though something even that small would finish him off. Instead her face broke into a smile, although sadness remained in her eyes as she studied the various wounds. ~Poor Lucario. He must be in such pain.~ Fiela commented to Sulteron, who muttered back, "At least he's not dead."
Now the matter of getting Lucario to safety presented itself. Sulteron did not have much ideas on this; the only way she could think of was to get and Abra to use Teleport, but she wasn't sure if any Abra, Kadabra or Alakazam for miles around was strong enough to Teleport more than itself. Maybe a Flying type... stronger and larger than Minari or Fiela. Maybe... Charizard! Charizard was already proven to be strong simply by reaching a high enough level to evolve, and with the trainer she had had, maybe she would be strong enough to carry them all.
"Charizard, I know a way. I can get all my Pokemon into their Pokeballs to reduce the weight, but do you think you could carry me and Lucario to Avura Town's Pokemon Center?" she asked, taking out five Pokeballs. Mizu, Minari, and Zen went in, then Fiela, once she understood the importance of it. Fairo was next- oh dear. Fairo stuck chin in the air and pouted. ~No!~ he growled. Sulteron pleaded, and eventually he gave in. It was a life-and-death situation, after all. Now ready to leave, Sulteron awaited Charizard's response. Could she ride her?
((When Charizard flys, I take it we move on to the board for the Town))

Strangely, Lucario didn't feel like he was going to die now. That feeling had gone away as soon as he had come outside. Instead, the pain had been amplified and it was now harder to stay conscious. But, he knew he would be able to if he tried hard enough. After all, he had made it out of the building, right? And, if he did get better, somehow, he wouldn't battle for a long while, he decided. He heard the comment Sulteron said and sighed inwardly; yes, he wasn't dead, but what good was he if he wasn't even able to stand up?
Not in any condition the think, Lucario just lay there, concentrating on trying to breath calmly despite the pain that was coming in wave after wave. He struggled to keep from crying out because of it, and rather kept shaking every few seconds, his eyes closed. So, maybe he wouldn't die, but he sure would be in pain for a long time, considering they were in the middle of nowhere.
Lucario's ears perked up when Sulteron mentioned 'she knew a way'. He listened inbetween all of his shaking, and was surprised that the Charmeleon even listened, since he apparently didn't like it in there. Lucario weakly opened his eyes and looked at the Charizard; he knew she would do it for him. And by the look she had, she would've done it without question, too. +Of course. You needn't have even asked; I was about to suggest it myself,+
the Charizard said, lowering herself as far as possible so that Sulteron could get on. She then proceeded to pick up Lucario gingerly in her large claws, and upon beating her wings once, was air-born, heading towards the nearest city. ((Yep. You're on the ball, Birdy You can make the board, since I posted last.))
