It's about time we got some rules on this; Pokemon which evolve with Happiness have lots of confusion about when they will evolve.
All Pokemon which evolve with happiness (Riolu, Togepi, Pichu etc) need six Happiness points to evolve. These can be earned by;
And, of course, there are some thing which deduct Happiness Points;
I might add more. For those of you who already have a Pokemon that evolves on Happiness, don't worry, I'll PM how many Happiness Points it has.

- Saving the Pokemon's life (+3)
- Letting the Pokemon out for an entire route (+1)
- Using the Pokemon in a battle (+1)
- Training the Pokemon at the Training Area (+1)
- Using a stat-boosting or level-boosting item (+2)
- Allowing the Pokemon to stay in the Daycare Center
And, of course, there are some thing which deduct Happiness Points;
- Abandoning a Pokemon (-10)
- Abusing the Pokemon- shouting, hitting, etc. (-1)
- Major abuse- drawing blood, fighting against, etc. (-3)
