The Rules

IN CHARACTER RULES

-- All 'general' rules apply. (No gm, pp, etc.)

-- Before you actually start roleplaying, your character MUST be accepted by a Mod or Admin.

-- You can be in as many places as you want to be outside of the Routes & Towns. (I.E., the mall, PokeCenter, Trading Center, etc.) In other words, you can only be on one route at a time for each character.

-- Your character can be any age, basically. I prefer if your character is 10+, but if you have a younger-aged character, you'd best make a pretty darned good application, and have an older Trainer traveling with them.

-- Only Mods and Admin can make wild Pokemon appear. There will be no legendaries appearing to you directly all the time, and no ultra-rares popping up at every route, either, so don't get your hopes up.

-- Even if, in your history, you have a part of Pokemon of your own, you will have to start out with a starter Pokemon from this region. PM me if you want to work something out about it - Especially if it partakes in how they currently are.

-- Be sure to separate OOC and IC in some way, shape, or form, that way we know when you are talking randomly, or in character.

-- It would be much appreciated if you interacted with other characters ^_^ Meet up, travel together, anything to make it so your character isn't lonely all the time.

-- This is a literate site, people! Please, at least have some knowledge of grammar and punctuation! Spelling doesn't have to be perfect, or even close, as long as we can tell what you mean by it. But hey, what's spell check for? Proof-read what you've written; Make sure than not only you may understand it, but others as well. Neopets has some quite illiterate people, and Neopets as well as other sites have people who quite frankly, don't care. They just post to get their posts up. I care about quality, not quantity.

OUT OF CHARACTER RULES[/u][/i]

-- Please, no flaming. I want to keep this site as friendly as possible.

-- If you must spam, then do it somewhere else. The only place you can spam is in the affiliates board.

-- No impersonating staff/mods, or even members for that matter. If you have a problem with someone, PM me, and we'll take care of the issue.

-- Swearing is not allowed on punishment of banning or a warning. End of story.

BATTLING RULES[/i][/u]

-- Ok, so...No one likes the 'almighty ever-move-doding Pokemon', right? So, we will keep it to the Three Dodge Rule in a row. That means you can dodge thrice maximum in a row, get hit once, dodge three times, and so on. Not that many Pokemon would be able to dodge that much.

-- No controlling other people's Pokemon...Should be an obvious rule. But, here is a more detailed description of this rule:

Person 1: Charmander uses ember on Turtwig. A critical hit!

See? That person didn't even give the other person a chance to think about dodging the attack. It shoudl go more like this:

Person 1: Charmander uses Ember on Turtwig, in hopes of making it a critical hit.

While Person 2 decides whether or not to dodge, that is their choice.

-- Whoever is replying to your thread will tell you if the battling Pokemon that you are battling is weak (If it is wild). You may choose to attack again, taking it to a very weak stage, makng it easier to catch, or risk trying to catch it. If you wish to make it faint, however, you can attack once more after the 'very weak' stage. You can still catch the Pokemon after it has fainted.

PARTY RULES/MOVE RULES[/i][/u]

-- You may have up to SIX Pokemon in your party, discluding 'wild companion Pokemon'.

-- Companion Pokemon do not count as one in your Party if he or she is played by someone else. However, if he or she is yours, then he or she is just considered 'out of their Pokeball'.

-- Also, companion Pokemon, though they may travel with you, they don't have to listen to you during a battle. They may eventually descide to join your team, but until then do not count as a member of your party.

-- All starters have an Egg Move of your choice! Hooray! If you catch a wild Pokemon that does not have an Egg Move, you cannot change that. Egg Moves are special.

-- You may choose one ability for your Pokemon to have. Such as, a Magby can have the ablity Flame Body; Just be sure you write what it does as well. For more help, go here and choose whatever Pokemon you have (Alphabetical order), and look at the ablities. Some have 2+ ablilities, but please, only choose the one that you think would work best to your advantage.

CHARACTER RULES[/i][/u]

-- Your character may be a Breeder, Trainer, or Coordinator. A few Item Collectors (Don't ask. You'll know what I'm talking about if you want to be one) are welcome as well.

-- Pokemorphs are also welcome. This rule is very odd, and in some cases, rare, because...Here, your Pokemorph can turn completely into the Pokemon that they are half of (Or 1/4, 3/4, etc.), though it is completely optional.

-- Wild Pokemon are very welcomed! There will only be one legendary per type, though. So, we won't have two of Celebi, Mewtwo, Arceus, Dialga, Suicune, etc. (Unless it goes along with our current plot)

-- You may have up to three characters of either Trainer/Breeder/Coordinator/Item Collector and Wild Pokemon, or you can have up to six total. PM me if you want to make an exception to this rule, or if you don't understand it.

-- To get your Starter Pokemon, you may choose any from the list, located here, according to what your application was rated (this rule is only for the humans/pokemorphs).

-- Also, if you want to attempt to get a higher rank on your character application, then you can ask for advice, and me, or one of the other admin/mods will give you advice, or a critique if you really want one of those.

IN-DEPTH RULES FOR WILD POKEMON[/i][/u]

-- You may be a Legendary, if you have my permission. But that's the only way you can be one. And even then, certain legendaries are not allowed.

-- Pokemon that are Rare+ on the Rarity List will be limited. Anything else can be as many as there can be.

-- You can be an evolved form, as well as an egg if you really want to. You can be found by a Trainer, hatch with them, and so on, but you don't have to be caught. Even if he or she does catch you, you still are in control of you.

-- Ok, this should be obvious, but...You are not going to be the strongest Pokemon ever, ok? So don't act like you are, which means no GM/PP.

-- Also, Wild Pokemon can be companions, of course, so, one question; Can I only be at one place at a time? The answer is; no. You can be at anywhere from 1-5 different places if you want, since you aren't a trainer. For example, say you are traveling with a Trainer. You can also be on another route, at another area, or, if you really want to, be travelling with another trainer.

OTHER RULES YOU SHOULD KNOW[/i][/u]

-- Pokemon Breeding is allowed here, though there will be specific thread(s) for that.

-- If you are caught breaking any of the rules on purpose more than three times, you will be temporarily banned.

-- Admins have more power than Mods, and Mods more than regular Members, but everyone should be treated equally, alright?
